transition lenses?
Does anyone have them? I'm thinking of getting them and wanted to know people's experience with them. Do they transition quickly ? Do they stay dark once you go inside or not get dark enough when you're outside? TIA!

Re: transition lenses?
my MIL has these. she likes them. from what I can tell, it takes about a minute for them to change from clear to dark and vice versa

I have them. I like them BUT not sure I'd get them again
They don't work in the car. The windshield is uv coated.
As soon as you step foot outside the change. It takes a GOOD 3 minutes for them to fully change on the inside. I had them on when I went on a job interview last year and was so worried they would look like sunglasses I took them off before I got out of the car
I work for a bank that is surrounded by windows. They change from the sun coming through the windows. Kind of unprofessional

My brother has them in his glasses. He loves them. Unfortunately in every picture of him from my wedding (familiy pictures were taken outside) it looks like he is wearing sunglasses.

I didn't have them for my wedding, but I had the same problem with other pictures. It looked like I was wearing sunglasses. It seemed once I was inside, they never went back to "normal". KWIM? My current glasses are not transition. I won't get them again.

Re: transition lenses?
I have them and would not get them again. Sometimes they don't change all the way if I am indoors. So I have to take them in put them in a dark spot. I understand they are supposed to help with uv rays but my glasses don't look like sunglasses and i hate the way they look when they are dark and i am outside.

Re: transition lenses?
I've had them for 10 years or more. The newer ones are much better than some of the older ones I've had. I love them, and will definitely continue to get them. I love not having to carry sunglasses around with me. I used to do that, and I would always forget them, or not have them handy. What a PITA. Now, I always have my sunglasses with me.
