If I am going to tip $4-5 for delivery on a $20 meal... i'd rather walk across the street... sit down and have a nice prepared meal and give the waitress the 20-25% tip.
That waitress is working a hell of a lot more for that 20% than a guy that has to take 5 minutes to walk across the street. That's just my opinion.
Well, where I'm located in midtown, there's not much around that's less than 2 blocks away... so the option of just running across the street isn't there for me... besides, I would never order something that I could easily walk to and be back at my desk in 10 minutes.

I hate ordering at work with others, i always end paying almost double for my lunch. And others walk away with double the food and pay half the price. 
yes, i hate that... oen day i went out with peopel from work and they all ordered pasta dishes and salads... i had a SLICE of pizza. the bill came, they split it down them middle and say $16.00 each everyone! i actualyl said something... i got pissy looks from everyone... but i was like, sorry, i am not paying $16.00 for a slice of pizza. i was piss ed and they made me feel so cheap and like i was a big pain in the a ss

Thank you! My overall point 
But if I went with the 10 % idea like the PP suggests...she would have owed .20.  Sometimes ya tip just bc its the right thing to do.
I would NEVER pay 16 bucks for a slice of pizza. Those people were just crazzzzzyyy to think that of you.

No you were totally right...that happened to me with friends once at a diner...everyone had a full dinner and I had like a soda and 2 mozz. sticks

I dont order with people from work anymore. There was this guy who used to work with me. If his meal was 6.99, thats exactly what you got!! Nevermind tip, you didn't even get the tax!!!
And we would never let him go to the reception area to meet the delivery guy cause he would NOT tip all. It was so embaressing! Once we had to chase the delivery guy to tip him.
