I don't think I'm qualified in the slightest to give advice to such a brave woman.
How to get through this? You just do. Just like you did this past year. You get up every day, you look at that little boy & you give it your all. And when it gets too hard, you sob, scream & repeat.
Find some happiness each day. Be glad that you're going to be able to see those first steps. Above all - breathe. Just breathe.

I remember reading that thread and I can't believe it's been a year. But you have come through this year as this amazing hero to so many people on year. Not what you wanted, I'm sure, but please know that you have touched so many people on here in the past year and everyday, we all send you the best wishes ever!

I had the first (of what I suspect to be many in the nexxt 24 hours) panic attacks.
Barb- Ever see "ever After" with Drew Barrymore? Your post reminds me of that movie because there is a line like that when she arrives at the ball.

I can only say what the others have said - get up each day, look at your son and husband and be glad you are so very strong. You are going to fight this all the way through and even though there are days that are going to get you down, you also have all the good things in your life too.
Take a deep breath each morning and know that we are all here fighting for and with you.

Deb- you have gotten some great advice. The only thing that I can say that no one else has is when your mind starts racing and you start panicking, picture a stop sign in your head. Then remember how strong and amazing you are and go find this
