Say to yourself its JUST TIME.....Dont think of it as wasted time, think of it as precious time with your son and with true friends and with family and how being sick opened your eyes to the caring generosity of so many people and to see things you never would have thought twice about in life...to new friends .....
Try to not think of it as an anniversary but if you have to, then think of it as a year of being strong, getting stronger, learning about yourself etc...
As hard as it is, focus on the positives that came out of such a horrible diagnosis and crisis in yor life.....

I read your post again, and it makes my stomach drop - I remember last year when you were complaining about headaches and blurry vision, and I thought, she probably has preeclampsia or something - when I read your post, I was FLOORED.
But, with that said, in the last year, I've seen something just so incredible - the strength of one woman to carry on and persevere, and show every whimsical emotion that she goes through as she makes this journey, and at the same time, the incredible kindness and generosity of strangers.
I know it's a hard time for you - probably more wrought with emotion than any of us could ever possibly imagine. But, try to look at this past year as a journey into yourself - you've found strength and emotions inside that I'm sure you never realized - and through it all you stayed true to yourself, as a wife, and as a mother. If nothing else, this past year has given all of us who have watched you the most tremendous inspiration

Everyone here has pretty much expressed exactly what I am thinking, and I probably can't say it any better.
Just remember at the end of the day we are all here for you, thinking about you, and keeping you and your family in our thoughts/prayers.

I didn't "know" you or your battle back then, but have since come to "know" you Deb. How you are the stongest, most courageous woman who fought so hard to give her son an awesome life and mommy.

Deb, keep in mind what an inspiration you are to so many woman (and men) on this site. You're a fighter and you've been fighting with a smile on your face. Think of all of the wonderful things that you do have.. a loving DH and a beautiful baby boy. You can do this!!!!

All I can say is just stay strong.
Remember that one big thing is different from that post on may 22, 2006- Joseph. You are a mother now. Along with all the pain you went through last year, you also gave birth to your beautiful son, saw him smile for the first time, saw him laugh for the first time.... Try to get strength from that.
And you have all of us, many of us who haven't met you, praying for you. Praying from all different faiths. One of us has to be right.
You are strong. You can get through this. And we are here, anytime you forget that to remind you.
I completely agree! Deb, you are an inspiration to me.
Yesterday I was in the hospital, doing my pre-op testing. I thought of you. I thought, WOW, Deb went through all of this plus some; if she got through it so can I. Please know, that I believe God brought you through this to be an inspiration to others and you are. I hope I can be as strong as you have been, you are are great example to follow.

Perhaps you can think of today as a day to look back and see how taking the courage to tell people about your illness has really inspired people on this site - which I think is a difficult thing to do on the internet. It amazes me how so many people here who don't know each other have come together to support you and your fight.
I pray for you a lot, Deb, as I know many other people here do too. Hang in there

Deb, all the women on here have said it so eloquently.
I know this time must be sooo hard for you and I am so sorry.
I am sooo proud of you and all of the accomplishments that you have made this year. It has been quite a journey for you but I have such happiness in my heart when I remember all the wonderful moments like ringing your bell at the end of your treatment to the recent gorgeous pics of you and your son on the beach. (you are one hot mama )
You have served as such a wonderful inspiration to all of the women (and men) on here and are well loved.
I see such big things for you in the future and I predict that you are going to inspire and speak to so many others who need it. You are one amazing person.
Remember you have all our love and anything you need never hesitiate to ask!!!!!! We will always be behind you 100000%!
