The clock and Calendar are haunting me
I'm having issues. It's almost the 22nd.
The 22nd of May, one year ago was the WORST day of my life.
I am a gluton for punishment and went back and read this The emotions are still there and so real. I would think after a year it would have gotten easier, but it HASN'T. I stand here one year later...still in pain, still waiting on tests and still unsure of my, sometimes bleak, future.
Ugh...any suggetions on how to get thru this?

Just stay strong Deb- try and focus on all you have overcome rather than whats still to come/might come...

I know you've gotten all sorts of treatment for your physical pain and ailments, have you sought out therapy for all of the emotional pain and stress that you must be feeling? I wish I had better advice, but I'm not very good in that department

Do you know Deb - I sitting on the couch about an hour ago and I was thinking about that day.
I remember you having to go to the doctors for your headaches and for your seeing issues.
Never in my wildest dreams, did I ever think that you were going to come back with this news 
I have no advice for you - but I do know you have come a long way in the past year

Say to yourself its JUST TIME.....Dont think of it as wasted time, think of it as precious time with your son and with true friends and with family and how being sick opened your eyes to the caring generosity of so many people and to see things you never would have thought twice about in life...to new friends .....
Try to not think of it as an anniversary but if you have to, then think of it as a year of being strong, getting stronger, learning about yourself etc...
As hard as it is, focus on the positives that came out of such a horrible diagnosis and crisis in yor life.....

I am praying for you. The only thing I can say is continue to stay strong, you are truly an inspiration and hug your little boy every chance you get, as I am sure you do.

Donna and Marcie- Thanks for posting on this thread and ALWAYS grounding me! You two, plus Felecia are part of the reason I am still alive. You are the three that told me to go to the hospital. I thought I was being foolish but after months of listening to me talk of all the symptoms you helped me be strong enough to make it.
I don't know if I posted this, ever, but I was told that had I gone into labor naturally and had to push hard, that the tumor that was around my carotid artery might have punctured it and killed me in labor.
You three saved my life.

I wasn't on this site back than and just read your post from that day and I can't believe what I just read.
By reading some of your post over the last few months since I've been on here, I came to know your story...somewhat...and I have to say you are a strong woman! I don't know you, but from what I've read you have come a long way.
I know how the calendar can haunt. But if you can , try and see how far you've come from that day.  and please try concentrate on your life today.

Just take it one day at a time Deb, you have gotten so far and YOU will get through this.... I wish i could make a medication for you to make this all disappear for you, you will alway's be in my thoughts and prayers and i hope the best for you alway's. and if you ever need to talk i am here for you as ALL of us here on lif, we are one big family here who will alway's support eachother.... Love ya girl.

All I can say is just stay strong.
Remember that one big thing is different from that post on may 22, 2006- Joseph. You are a mother now. Along with all the pain you went through last year, you also gave birth to your beautiful son, saw him smile for the first time, saw him laugh for the first time.... Try to get strength from that.
And you have all of us, many of us who haven't met you, praying for you. Praying from all different faiths. One of us has to be right.
You are strong. You can get through this. And we are here, anytime you forget that to remind you.

Has it been a year? I still remember the thought that you were suffering from just a sinus problem from your pg. Thankfully you did listen to some very wise women on here and got your butt to the doctor. But it also means that JAG is almost a year old!
I know in less than 2 weeks you have more invasive testing to go through with still unanswered questions. This is about your future and if you ask me, I think you are going to have a wonderful and long future gazing at that beautiful little boy of yours. If wishes could come true this would be my one and only!
The only way I can think to tell you to get through this is to listen to JAG everytime he giggles and remember that you are here now
