If you are nursing, you HAVE to get the Breast Friend pillow. OMG, totally blows the Boppy away.
I still used the Boppy, but only for propping up the baby for tummy time and for supported sitting. I never used it for nursing again after my LC recommended the Breast Friend!

A good stroller that reclines flat or has a bassinet (my favorite strollers for infant Bugaboo, peg perego P3 or Peg Perego Si).
If you can't snap your carseat or buy a car seat adaptor for your stroller then a snap n go

Summer video monitor (this is my absolute MUST have!)
sound machine
Swaddle Me
LOTS of the Gerber heavy cloth diapers to use as burp cloths. They will spit up so much in the first few months it will make you 
a really good coffee maker...you're gonna need it

Keep in mind, these are all items that worked for these particular moms. It doesn't mean you HAVE to have them. Going through the lists people made, we didn't have the majority of those items. Some of the items we had, but didn't use and/or like.
Every child is different, every house, every parent, etc. Some people love the bottle warmers, some hate them. Some love the video monitors, some don't.
However, I think most parents will agree, you NEED a camera with lots of memory...

To be honest, the only thing I really needed was the baby! I don't have much stuff for my second baby and I am finding that I don't need it!
My advice is if you can borrrow stuff, borrow as much as you can, for instance my son NEVER used his swing once, however my daughter seems to like it. So I wish I hadn't bought one with my first...borrow and try it out, and if you like it, buy it!

also, get a basic PnP. i got a $200 one and waste of money.
Ours had a changing table and a bassinet which was nice but all those other features - vibrations, music, lights- we never used.

Swaddle me ( the first 8 weeks could no have lived without)
Boppy pilow ( I breast fed until 6 months but still use it now when giving him a bottle at night in the glider its a comfy way for me to cuddle him)
The booster seat that attatches to any chair ( I got the one that looks like a lion head in the back) So cute and great for where ever you go, families house, BBQ's and especially restaurants!! He loves his own chair.

Exersaucer
Swing (I had a 2-in-1 swing/bouncy seat)
Boppy (for feeding and then when they learn to sit, for support sitting up)
Kirkland (costco) baby wipes - they're better than anything out there!!!!!
Avoid the "travel system" carseat/stroller (I regret mine) get the snap n go for the infant carseat and a really nice stroller. The travel system strollers are too heavy/bulky. I didn't think I'd mind, but now I hate mine!
The Bumbo seat is cute, but only good for a very short time (a month or two) so I wouldn't bother.
