At first, I thought it was tacky. I would never bring my own containers to someone's house, expecting leftovers! My mom, sister, and I all just exchange the reusable/disposable containers when we send each other home with food. However, if you know that you are going to leave with leftovers and it has already been discussed, it's fine.
