I agree, I hate most of these stores. I used to love Home Goods but now I have no room for clutter or for stuff that can only be used on one day a year. Like I have gigantic (but adorable) serving platters for Valentines Day, Easter, Halloween. So they take up room 364 days a year. It's not worth it for the one day I get to use it. Or serving pieces that are for like one specific occasion. Like my cake stands that are perfect if I'm hosting a beautiful sprint time tea party (which has happened once in the last 5 years). Some years, I can't even find the serving pieces I'm looking for... so I have to wait a whole year till I get the chance to use it again. I have too much stuff Chat Icon I won't even step foot in most stores now.

I refuse to buy season specific serving items because it is just so much unnecessary clutter. A relative gave me season specific napkin holders. I have to be honest I only use paper napkins because cloth are a PIA. I go to Christmas tree shop for table cloths for $2 and chuck them out after because washing them and the stains never come out is too much work.

CVS is INSANE on their prices.
Like $3 more for the razors I buy at Target.
Like Suave conditioner that i use to shave my legs with because I can get the big bottle for $1.99 at Target is like $3.99 there.

RIDICULOUS!!!!

I find that a lot of brick and mortar stores in the NY Metro Area suck! Everytime I am out of state and go shopping the stores are just so much nicer!!!

Like Kohls - my friend has one a mile from her house in Ohio - it's amazing compared to Kohls here. So nicely organized and well stocked. And TJ Maxx - i went to one in Indianapolis and they actually had great stuff!

Home goods is life !!! The homegoods here in Westchester are sooooooo nice compared to the west bury and port Washington and merrick location. Before I gave birth, I would go to 5 locations every 2 days. It’s an addiction

I hate Kohl’s. It’s annoying !! If you want the lowest price you need 18 promo codes and a Kohl’s credit card. Gtfoooo

- walmart
- kohls- I never got the hype- the kohl's cash and other incentives seem like a gimmick to me. Only can be used during certain times, and alot of coupon codes don't usually work when the cash is valid
- Forever 21, back in the day- Gave me anxiety when I'd walk in due to the disorganization

I always thought CVS was good in their prices. Lower than Rite Aid and MUCH lower than Duane Reed. But maybe it's because I don't go to Target?

I wish someone had told me when I was younger and wasting my $$. I bought all this stuff and now my house is filled with it. Not to mention all the other season specific crap like candle holders & even wine glasses! Like who the hell needs wine glasses for every season? I'm so over it, but I spent so much on the crap that I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

Seriously! I get so mad at DH when he shops at CVS. I'm at Target every other day. Why spend an extra $3-$5 per item at CVS? It's such a rip-off.

Amazon...I dont see the hype of prime?? I seem to 99 percent of the time find things cheaper on a different website if I do a little research.

Re: Stores you hate

walmart: I hate going to the one near my house. when it first opened a few years ago it was really nice. now its a mess, all sorts of nutty people. I will drive out of my way for a target.

I used to Shop NY&CO all the time. Lately their styles are putrid (for me). Too many floraly, no shape styles. I've discovered Express again and like their dress pants and sweaters for work.

Aldi

Walked in there for the 1st time on Wednesday and don't ever plan to go back. It looked cheap, smelled weird and had no-name, cheap looking brands that I'd never heard of and wouldn't buy. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Yeah not a fan either. And the way they use the cardboard boxes the products ship in as the shelving units- a bit odd

aldi is actually owned by Trader Joes and most of their private brands are TJ"s brands. I have one near me and only went into a few times but they definitely have great prices on produce and groceries. IT is small and limiting on what they do have and you have to bring your own bags.

I can sometimes find stuff a couple bucks cheaper, but two day shipping is worth it to me. I order so much on Amazon. Many online stores it takes a week at least to get my stuff. I can't stand that. Needed snow boots for my son, and Switch controllers...no local stores had them, went on Amazon, got them in 2 days. Toilet paper, garbage bags, alcohol wipes...those are my staples Chat Icon

I like Aldi and Lidl (coming to the US soon). Once you get used to it, it isn’t so bad. But, maybe, I’m just used to German supermarkets. I’m pretty sure Aldi owns TJs.

I have no patience for off the rack places. I don’t want to sort through things. Some stores are better than others, however.

Stores you hate

I hate the Gap (kind of elitist and boutique like, and I hate their clothes)
Not a fan of the mall, overall. I can't get past the big atmosphere feeling of it all, and I especially can't stand stores where the music is booming and the salesKids are like texting and umm, chewing gum. I guess I'm old but I hate them.

Re: Stores you hate

I am surprised by people not liking kohls but you can get some really good deals. I only buy things when they are on sale and l personally like the brands they carry and I don't think you can get them else where. But you have to buy at the right time IMO to get it for a good price.

I don't get CVS but I am too lazy to figure out all the extra bucks savings and sales.i think people like it if you know how to work the sales they have.

I hate Walmart and though I will shop there when I have too. Every time I go in there I will leave saying I hate it Chat Icon

some of the stores listed here I don't hate but I don't really shop in. I very rarely go to the mall anymore

I don't pay for prime but I use my moms account all the time. I also research stuff I need and most of the time amazon has it cheaper and FREE 2 day shipping so when I need it in a rush (which most of the time I do) the 2 day shipping is wonderful. I hate paying for shipping so the minimum is great. And though I don't use it people who do have prime get the access of the tv shows and movies.
