...if you are out and you see someone you graduated with - do you say "HI"?

Re: spinoff to HS Reunions
Of course.
Sometimes hard to recognize after 17 years though.
I bumped into 2 people at 2 different times at Target.
We chatted and caught up.
And discussed how MUCH our lives have changed!!!

ditto. it depends on who it is really. if its someone i was pretty close with then yes, i'd have no problem saying hi. but if it were someone that was just an acquaintance and i have trouble just remembering their name then thats when "duck and hide" comes into play.

Re: spinoff to HS Reunions
Sometimes.
The other day my waitress at the diner was a girl I grad. with, I just said "hey how are you." We weren't friends and barely knew eachother so I'm not sure she even realized we went to school together.
So, it depends on who it is and what the situation is- I've I'm in a store and can turn and walk the other way without being seen- I usually will. At a bar, after a few drinks- catching up with old HS acquaintances suddenly seems like such a great idea.

Re: spinoff to HS Reunions
Most of the time, I do. I had a big graduating class, so if it's someone I don't think would know/remember me, I don't go out of my way.

Re: spinoff to HS Reunions
I usually do. I have a friend, who never says hello to anyone from high school, however. She seems to never remember anyone, even when they look exactly the same How convenient.

Not if it's on the train, for fear I'll have to talk to them the whole ride & miss a nap.

Re: spinoff to HS Reunions
Well, I usually don't see anyone I went to HS with... but I probably would most of the time. It really depends on who it was.

Not usually. They either don't recognize me or I just don't feel like talking to them - but I don't hide either.
