So devastated.....****UPDATED****

Today is 7dp5dt and again, BFN with the FRER and EPT. I am completely devastated. I feel like there's no chance of a BFP anymore. I go in for bloodwork tomorrow morning, and I'll get a definitive answer then, which I'm sure will be another BFN. I'm so pizzed that I have so many of the symptoms, but it has to be from the progesterone!!! My boobs have been extremely sore & they're much bigger, and I've been exhausted for the last 4-5 days.

We do have some frozen embies, can anyone tell me when is the earliest I can do a frozen cycle? And what that entails? Thanks again ladies.

_______________________________

My RE called with the results (not the nurse, which I think was nice) because it was a HUGE BFN. He said he thinks we were just on the flip side of the coin this time. We are going to do a frozen cycle this month, so I go in for a consult on Thursday. It's amazing how perfect my cycle was, and it still didn't work. I'm more okay with it now that I know it's negative and we can move on to the next cycle. If this frozen cycle doesn't work then we will do another fresh, but I think my ovaries definitely need a rest. I'm still incredibly bloated. Now hopefully I can lose the 10 pounds that I gained from my first IVF cycle this month!

Re: So devastated.....

I'm so sorry about the BFNs.

I want to just add that I used to LOVE FRERs... but when using them with FMU they were NOT good at all! I actually threw out my original BFP because it didn't show up until hours later - even though I got another one later in the day with SMU!

Anyway, hopefully you're not out... but if you are ...

I was able to start my FET right after. The whole process is about 6 weeks long. In my blog, I have the actual day to day things from right after my failed IVF into my first FET... but here's what it basically looked like (this was my second FET here):

2/18: Got AF
2/19: Started BCP
3/2: Baseline U/S, Start 10 units Lupron
3/4: Last BCP
3/16: suppression check, start Estrace 2x/day and Baby aspirin 1x/day. Decrease Lurpon to 5 units/day.
3/25: lining check
3/29: last lupron
4/1: start progesterone supps 1x/day
4/2: Increase progesterone supps to 3x/day, start doxycycline 2x/day
4/6: Transfer

Keep in mind that this is a medicated cycle. Some REs (like mine) prefer this because then you can be in control of when everything happens. I literally was able to pick my exact transfer date (so I set it for the start of our spring vacation for this FET or for a Friday for my first FET).

If you have any questions, feel free to FM!

I think it is still early. Maybe the embryo implanted late. Ho long does it take for them to generally implant??

Good luck--don't give up!

Re: So devastated.....

So I went in for bloodwork this morning, told the nurse that all of the HPT's I've taken have been negative (I didn't test this morning, just couldn't bring myself to look at another BFN) and she said she's so sorry. So I think I'm definitely out. I'll know by 3pm the results of the blood test.

What do you mean about the weekend? I tested Sat, Sun & Mon and all were BFN.

Re: So devastated.....

I was really upset after my first failed IVF. However, I got pregnant on my second attempt! Try to look at the first one as trial and error. They can do better the second time around. I actually switched doctors in between and got tested for additional things which I believe made the difference between the first and second cycle.

Don't give up hope just yet but I agree with the above. My RE told me don't lose hope if you don't get pregnant with the first IVF...the first one is usually trial and error and the second one usually has higher success rates. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

My first cycle was a fresh transfer which was a BFN. My next 2 were frozen transfers, both of which were BFPs. (2 m/c though) Chat Icon

sometimes FETs just work better.

I'm so sorry about the negative, and want to send you Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon for your FET.
Just so you know, both my pregnancies were from FET's and with my last fresh cycle I didn't even bother with a transfer, just waited til AF showed and then started and FET cycle - upon which I got PG with DS.
