Sick as a dog
Sorry for the vent, but I feel HORRIBLE today. I woke up after about 3 hours of sleep with a completely clogged nose, sore throat, and earache. I swear this came out of nowhere. And to top it off, morning sickness decided to get really bad this morning. I'm going to my doctor this afternoon and leaving work early. So far, no fever. Just super frustrated.

UGh I am so sorry you aren't feeling well! I got really sick at 5 weeks, just what you described. It was awful. Drink plenty of fluids, rest and just try to get some sleep. And CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
Morning sickness is bad, try having crackers/bread/ginger ale, mints. I have it all throughout the day from when I wake up till I close my eyes.

I've got my seabands on, so my stomach is much better than it was, but this head cold or whatever going on is a terror. I might leave work now because I just can't stand.

I think you should...you need to rest. Could be allergy related too.

Also, you can take regular Claritin.
No, I was in hiding... just decided to stop hiding... I'm 8w5d today (farthest I've ever gotten). Saw the baby at 6w3d, had a nice strong heartbeat on the sono.
ETA: I thought all antihistimines were no-no's, I'm so excited about this prospect!

Congrats on making the switch over to this board!
Just rest, relax, Drinks lots of water as much as possible.
It may not be an easy 9 months but its so worth all the little/big hiccups along the way.

Thanks! Trust me, I'm not complaining, just having a little vent. I'll take anything this little one decides to throw my way, whatever it takes to bring home my baby.

I was told Claritin is fine just not Claritin-D. I was also told Benadryl was fine as well. I used Claritin when I was sick b/c I couldn't use any other medicine for a head cold. Worked like a charm in stopping my runny nose and sneezing!

Yes! I was newly pregnant during my worst allergy time and the doc said Claritin and Zyrtec were both fine. Just no D's (decongestants).
I took Zyrtec a ton in my first tri.

OMG congrats!!!! so excited for u 
and being sick while preg is seriously the worst. I usually just suffer and make sure to complain to anyone who will listen. I feel like complaining is part of the healing process.
Hopefully u will feel better!

Thanks all!!! I'm at my doctors now, we'll see what he thinks. Of course, now that it's gorgeous out, I'm starting to feel a little better. I still want to nip it in the bud.

Allergic sinusitis! And my blood pressure was the lowest it's ever been at the doctors! Baby gives me a lower blood pressure...
