My dog is so sick! (this is long) UPDATED 3/12

My dog (she's not only a part of our family, but a performing dog) got very sick yesterday (Sunday) She was mopey all day and around 1:15 in the morning my husband decided to take her to the 24 hr emergency clinic. He called me an hour later, telling me she may not make it thru the night! I was freaking out, being home alone. The vet called me to explain that she was internally bleeding into her belly and they didn't know why. She was already in shock when they got there. They hooked her up to Iv. Her vitals were very bad. She has a heart problem and they couldn't do anything till they stabilized her. I called my daughter at 2:45 am and she came right over. My husband came home & picked us up. We wanted to see our dog, in case she didn't make it. The vet said she was so out of it, she couldn't pick her head up, but when we walked in, she picked up her head and wagged her little tail. She was surrounded by hot water bottles, keeping her warm as well as blanket. We cried and petted her and prayed that she make it. The vet gave her a blood transfusion and this morning said she was stabilized so they went ahead with some tests. The found she had something on her liver as well as something in her bladder. We told them to operate. The took small pieces from her liver (2 places) and a piece from the thing in the bladder. They will biopsy them but we'll have the results in 3 days or so. She made it thru surgery but they wouldn't let us see her tonite (hopefully tomorrow) Now we're just praying it's not cancer, because if it is, they said with treatment, she may last only 6 mos. but we don't want to put her thru anything where she'll suffer. She's 12 yrs. old. Please say a prayer that she'll be ok. Thanks!!

UPDATE: Spoke to the vet this morning (tues) She said Magic is doing ok, resting comfortably. She's on pain meds. We wanted to visit her, but the vet said she needs her rest so probably tomorrow. She's still in ICU. We're not out of the woods yet. The biopsy results will be in by the end of the week and then we'll know what's going on. We are cautiously optimistic right now. We don't want to get too excited yet.

UPDATE: MY SWEET LITTLE MAGIC PASSED AWAY LAST NIGHT. WE'RE DEVASTATED. WE SAW HER YESTERDAY, BROUGHT HER FOOD BUT SHE DIDN'T WANT TO EAT. THE VET CALLED AROUND 11 LAST NIGHT SAID SHE STOPPED BREATHING & CPR WASN'T WORKING. WE CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. She was a wonderful dog. She was the gentlest, sweetest dog. She was a Boston Terrier who was very well known on Long Island, performing at schools, libraries and private house parties. She is going to missed by alot of people, especially her family.

I'm sorry, the loss of a pet is extremely difficult. We lost two dogs (mother and her daughter) within days of each other, and it was so difficult. I have to say, looking at their urns on our fireplace provides me with a nice comfort, like they are watching over us.
