just heard on NBC it may be that Ryan is the brother (in questioning) and Adam is the shooter (booth Lanza) still unsure.

I have no words. People choose that area because it is beautiful, safe andfamily ffriendly, with great schools :( :( the irony is so horrific ... it is the last place you would.think something like this could happen.

I read this on Gawker so who knows how accurate it is:
Police haven't officially announced the name of their suspect, but according to NBC three different law enforcement sources have confirmed "Ryan Lanza" as the suspect. Which leaves us with a few, equally weird options: that police (or the media) have the wrong guy as a suspect; that there are two Ryan Lanzas, of the same age, splitting time between Connecticut and New Jersey; or that this is the right Ryan Lanza, and someone is perpetrating an elaborate, and very morbid, hoax. Until we figure out which one is right, let's stop sharing the guy's profile and ID'ing it as the killer.
Update: Jersey Journal staff writer Brett Wilshe apparently spoke to this Lanza, who says that the real shooter may have taken his ID.

I hope people can try to keep perspective. I know this is awful and it hurts us all but school shootings are rare.
I refuse to live my life worrying about this because worrying isn't productive. I'm not trying to be insensitive but trying to show that millions of kids go to school each day and the worst problem of the day is a broken crayon.

Sorry but IMO even ONE fukking school shooting is one too many. School is SUPPOSED to be someplace safe, yet is it compromised once again. I am so sick over this, WTF is wrong with this world?
I don't think op meant disrespect. This is obviously insane and horrible beyond words. I think she meant that we can't live in fear, specifically regarding sending our children to school, bc something like this is an anomaly, and also can happen anywhere (like the movie theater). It's very sad to see that these "anomalies" seem to be happening more and more  Sick world.

This killed me:
First grade teacher Kaitlin Roig, 29, locked her 14 students in a classroom bathroom and listened to "tons of shooting" until police came to help.
"It was horrific," Roig said. "I thought we were going to die."
She said that the terrified kids were saying, "I just want Christmas…I don't want to die. I just want to have Christmas."
As if I weren't crying enough before reading that..
Ugh.. Reading that gave me chills! These kids will never be the same... And all because some fcuk up couldn't just take his own life... Its disgusting

I live 15 mins from Newtown. I'm absolutely devastated! My kids school was on lockdown with little information provided. I had to rely on Twitter and Facebook for updates. Rumors running wild. I can't even talk about it. I'm waiting to hear if anyone of my children's football teammates are victims.
I just heard that two of three victims transported to Danbury Hopsital have died :(

I live not far from Newtown too. Initially I heard 3 injured, then suddenly 26 dead??? My daughter is in kindergarten and I spent the morning with her class. I can't wrap my head around how someone could do this.
