School shooting in Connecticut happening live
I can't stop crying. I can't stop thinking about these poor babies in their final moments. I'm a substitute teacher and Kindergarten is by far my favorite grade. And as a parent my heart is absolutely broken for the parents. I cannot even begin to imagine what they are going through.
God bless the heroes in all this, the teachers and the principal, that didn't think twice about protecting the other children and making the ultimate sacrifice.

All I keep thinking about when I read her story, is those 20 children have her with them. That brings me some peace.

These little angels. May they be in peace and safe in heaven and one day will be reunited with their loving families.

I feel really messed up by this. All I keep thinking of is these innocent babies. I'm truly heart broken. I can't stop crying thinking of their final moments here on earth. I try to stop myself from thinking about how fearful they were or how they probably were calling for their mommies but I can't. I'm heart broken and so sick over this.. I look at my little girls and I worry for them now more than ever. How can I keep them safe in this more increasingly evil world? I want my girls to experience the world, to enjoy being a child but now I just want to shut the doors to our home and never go anywhere :( I pray for these parents, siblings, and grand parents , aunts and uncles, and friends of these beautiful souls.

I am having the same exact thoughts. Those final moments, did they want their mommies? The reports of how they died, it's unspeakable.

Nothing officially, but on MSNBC the mothers sister in law (ex husbands sister) said she had pulled him out of the Sandy Hook school system and home schooled him bc they felt they were failing him and had issues with how the district were addressing or not addressing his needs. I wonder if it has something to do with that.

The more I hear about this story the sadder I get... It's heartbreaking. I haven't watched a lot of the footage today because I was with DS and I don't want him to see it and I tried to keep busy but how could someone do this to such young and innocent people?
