RSV Question
My DD had it really bad around 6 months old. We were hospitilized for about a week after the PED had sent us home from an appointment. Cool Mist air helps, plenty of fluids, nebulizer treatments (if they gave that to you) sleep upright, and rest.
Hope she gets better soon!

Re: RSV Question
DS1 at 9 months. Just kept him home from daycare and took some days. Lots of rest and used the nebulizer for a few days. It was a long time ago so I don't remember too much. I do remember the first few days were really bad and then it wasn't too bad. He didn't have a bad case thou. Never went to the hospital. The Ped said he had it and didn't recommend going bc him being sick and being around more germs wasn't worth it.

Re: RSV Question
my twins had it. my daughter was on nebs at home, and had a relatively mild case. cool mist humidifier, fluids, rest etc. also, she would have bad coughing attacks and the only thing that would soothe it was being in a steamed up bathroom. my son had it worse and was in the hospital. same treatment except he also needed oxygen and more frequent neb treatments.

Re: RSV Question
My youngest had it 2 times before his 1st bday. It was not a really bad case as we were not hospitalized but he had nebulizer treatments up to 4 times a day, hot steam showered room, cool mist at night, rest & lots if fluid. Plus we found sleeping with his head elevated really helped tremendously. Ped even.said to let him sleep in swing or car seat.

Re: RSV Question
My DD had it at 8 months too, along with pneumonia. We were in the hospital for 4 days. I agree with all of the above advice. How is her breathing? That was our big issue, She was working super hard to get any oxygen. The nebulizer (& albuterol) helped with that tremendously.
I hope she's better soon.
