RSV Question
So the Ped believed that my 6 month old had RSV. We're still waiting for the results.
The question I have is can RSV come back? He drooles so much and I'm nervous I didn't clean his toys well enough. He was doing really well for a while and now it seems like he's getting the cough back.
TIA!!!

Re: RSV Question
I think like any illness it can come back. There's also different levels. Mason had a mild case around that age. We did the nebulizer a few times a day, which helped and kept him home.
As far as wiping his toys down... you're doing your best. The bacteria doesn't sit on things that long. You wiped the toys down so you should be fine. I do the same thing... lysol wipes. I try and wipe down his stuff once a week or every other week. I do it much more often when he's sick. Keep using the Nebulizer for the cough and hopefully he'll feel better The drooling could just be teething too. They say when they're teething their immune system is down.

Yeah, he's teething bad. Poor kid had this and an ear infection at the same time. He was great for a week, but started to have that bad cough again yesterday.

Funny you say that. I just brought DS back to the Peds b/c of a bad cough he has. He's 20 months old. Just got over an ear infection and then a hacking cough came. Took him yesterday and the Ped said it sounds like it's clearing out. To give him Dimitap or some decongestive for kids. Of course I wouldn't recommend that for your 6 month and to talk to your Ped about it. Hopefully it'll clear up b/c the Ped said it could go either way. He also said if we have a nebulizer to use it and it may help
