RSV question...
So DS tested + for RSV on Thurs. He had started acting a little funny on Monday so I'm assuming that's when he started with it. He is still having low grade fevers so I'm not taking him out anytime soon, but I was wondering when I would be ok to take him out without getting anyone else sick. The ped said it should last 5-7 days which would be today...

Re: RSV question...
DS2 was hospitalized with RSV back in September. IIRC, the docs said he was no longer contagious 5-7 days after symptoms ended, I think.
Our bout of RSV was a rough one. DS1 (who is normally Mr. Indestructible) was down for the count for 10 days or so and DS2 was hospitalized for about a week. Also, just when they seemed to be getting better, they'd spike a temp again.
Good luck with it. RSV can be a nasty bug.

Re: RSV question...
For most respiratory viral illnesses (RSV included) you are not contagious once you stop having the respiratory symptoms (coughing, sneezing, etc). RSV usually peaks at 3 days and resolves by day 7 (not always, but usually). The thing that's tricky in the winter season is that kids will often get one cold after the other.
