Are you getting/did you get a drop-side crib? My mom is saying I'm crazy not to get one but most of the ones that I have seen so far in the stores aren't drop-side. Pros/cons? Why did you get one or the other? Thanks ladies!
I would have gotten one if I was short. I'm 5'5" and got a regular convertable crib, no drob side. The reason why I didn't get one is because the ones I saw looked flimsy and honestly not that easy to drop down. Also I had my mom with me (the expert) and she recommend that I don't get it because by the time the baby gets to the age where you have to drop the mattress down (this is where you would really use the drop side) he will also be standing in the crib when he wakes so it will not take much at all to pick him up. He will probably be climbing out of the crib too which makes me worry about drop sides too.

Re: Question about drop-side cribs?
We had to get a drop side. I am very short and I can barely reach in the crib with the side down. If we didn't get one I would have had to have a step stool in the nursery in order to put Kaydyn in her crib.
