My 1st parenting post....question about playtex drop-ins??

Hello everyone. I just had my first baby one week ago today. Im breastfeeding, but pumped some milk so I could go wrap presents at my moms house tomorrow for DH....I have Playtex drop-ins to put the breast milk in...
When I put the breast milk in the liner, the liner looks like it is full of air and then when I feed it to DD, it sounds like she is getting air...yet when I try to squeeze the bottom of the liner, I cant get all the air out...anyone know whats going on??

I find that squeezing the nipple when I'm pushing the air out helps get it all out.

Congrats and welcome!

Once you squeeze the air out, you can't turn the bottle back upright or it all goes back in.

Im not able to get all the air out because I cant reach high enough in the bottle...Im only giving her 2 ounces so it doesnt fill it up at all. Should I get as much air out as possible, even though it leaves the liner looking deflated?

Do you have the 4 oz. or the 8 oz. bottles? DS uses teh drop-ins but I never squeezed any air out through the liner. I would just untwist the cap a little to let the air out. DS never had any gas problems though...

You probably should get the little 4oz ones for now that way you can push the liner up from the bottom easily.

Shove a burp cloth in there to help push out the air.
