QOTD 9/22/10

When you get your BFP have you thought about how you are going to tell DH???

I was thinking this morning I will find out a few days before our 2 year anniversary...if I get a BFP ( ) I am going to try to hold out and tell him as our gift, butttt if I get a BFN I don't want it to ruin our anniversary! AGGGG

DD was the best, I came home from work and it was around Christmas time, I gave him a small box and told him we got early presents from work, he opened it and pulled out a baby Jets jersey and the HPTs were inside the box as well, he was shocked!

i haven't really thought about how i want to tell DH but I have thought about how to tell our parents. I want to wait until we get our first sonogram pic and put them in frames that say grandparents and give it to them as a gift...we will have them open it in front of us!

i was thinking that i will see if i can find a "daddy to be" card and put the BFP test in there...

DH is very excited and anxious to find out every month... Over the summer, I bought a cute "Daddy & Me" frame to give him when the HPT finally reads BFP!!

I hope to try and do something cute. The first time around, we got pg through IUI. I was so happy our first one was successful that I just blurted it out when the dr called with my beta. I would love to get pg the old fashion was this time and be able to do something sweet for him

I really want to have the whole "honey I'm late" conversation and POAS with him. Well not really with him, but you know...have him wait with me! Then I'll have him check it out and tell me.

very cute.. well, dh will prob be with me when i test.

when i was pregnant with #1, i didnt know.. i just kept htinking my period was a few days late. i thought it was going to come any day b.c i was having some cramping. i took one test the week before and it came back negative. when dh found out that AF still didnt show he ordered me to take another test he said 2 come in a box for a reason.
well i took it and a "+" came up immediately! i let out a big yelp.


if and when we get pregnant with #2, he will prob be there when i POAS.

not sure how i will tell him when i get my bfp again... i wanted to do something cute but after the chemical im going to be so nervous it will happen again so ill see what happends...

when i did get i the first time, it was the morning and dh was still sleeping, i pretty much thought AF was just late cuz i took a miillion test before, but DH wanted me to take one more. so i did and when i saw it was positive i just ran upstairs to our room with the test in my hand pretty much screaming! there was prob still pee all over it too! lol

I really want DH to be there when I find out so I will prob POAS w/him there and let him check it. He sometimes works nights so if I am freaking dying to know one night and he is working I'll POAS and video tape looking at it and my reaction. Then when he comes home in the AM, I'll have him watch the video.

When we were first married I saw a Jets onesie on sale and bought it. It was like 5 bucks and thought it was cute...

He thought I was nuts since we did not plan on trying for 2 yrs

It is hanging in a closet in our hallway so I think during dinner I will pull it out and say "I guess we will finally be able to use this" or something like that

I already bought a special onesie for him,related to his job. I plan on giving it to him when I get a BFP and then he'll tease me about buying baby stuff and I'll say we may need it sooner than you think, and show him the test. Actually, I plan on testing on 10/15 the morning of BIL's rehearsal dinner so it would be sooooo awesome if DH and I had a secret that whole weekend.

i actuallu have something that i had made years ago for when this happens...i know im a loser but i saw it on tv and i had to do it

dh and i are huuuuuge isles fans...so when i get the bfp..i had a tiny t shirt made that says future islander on it..

i figure i will put it in a box with the test and wrap it up and give it to him..say its like a gift from someone lol

but who knows i will prob just call him and ruin the whole thing

if I can hold out....I am going to annoy him about re-painting the second bedroom (because I want him too and he thinks its rediculous) and then I'll tell him that we need to paint for a nursery....he'll be shocked! Oh this post makes me so excited to tell DH!!

I honestly havent put much thought as in how I will surprised DH as much as how I am going to surprise my parents I honestly think I'll be too freaking exciting to even come up with something clever. I will prob. just take a pic of the pregnancy test and text it to him

I actually did it the way you are planning on doing it!!! I found out on our 2nd anniversary. 2 years is cotton, so as part of his gift I bought him a cotton onesie that said "baby" on it. It was funny because at first he was clueless. I then handed him the positive HPT!

For my parents and in-laws I gave them a poem and right under the poem I put a pic of my sono. I had that framed and gave it to them.
This is what the poem said (just in case anyone wants any ideas):

I do not have a face to see
or put inside a frame
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss
I don't yet have a name.
You can't yet hold my tiny hands
Nor whisper in my ear.
It's still too soon to sing a song,
Or cuddle me so near.
But all will change come April 23, 2011
