Re: QOTD
I will be going back to work FT after my 6 weeks (8 if c section). As a teacher though its not too bad. Im home by 345 and have all the many vacations and summers off. Between my mom and fil watching we should only have to put DC in daycare 2 days a week. I would prefer working part time, but thats not really an option being a teacher. With DH and I making pretty comparable salaries i dont think it would be financially possible to cut one out.

Re: QOTD
I am a SAHM now and will continue if we have another but if #3 doesn't pan out for us, I may consider going back to work p/t when DD enters Kindergarden in 2012.

Re: QOTD
I would love to be SAHM but that is highly unlikely
I'm super jealous of anyone who can be a SAHM.

Re: QOTD
I will probably take 1/2 of the school year off and then go back. I would love to be a SAHM, but I've worked so hard to get where I am and can't imagine leaving my profession.

Re: QOTD
I always thought Id work because I love my job and feel good about what I do there. But, the more I think about it.. I dont know if I could handle being a mom and deal with the high amounts of stress that comes with my job. I might go part time, or look for a different location with less employees to manage... Even just temporarly. I will always be a career minded woman.. even with a family.

Re: QOTD
We are preparing now while TTC so that I can be a SAHM. We would need to pay for childcare and what I make would be paying for that, so I don't think it makes good financial sense for me to work. I plan to start a business from home though, which I am trying to do now. So that would supplement the income, though probably not what I make now.

Re: QOTD
Stopped teaching when I had my DD in Sept. 2008 and became a SAHM. I LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE it!!!!! I don't miss teaching one bit and I plan on staying a SAHM with subsequent children as well.
