Please be honest: does this make me a snob?
I just received a copy of the invitation for my shower in NY. It's BEAUTIFUL, I can tell that my sister-in-law spent a lot of time on them.
But I opened it up, and the very first line says:
Your Invited!!!!!
(I want to also add in that I'm a Reading Specialist by trade).
Is it awful that I'm TOTALLY embarrassed by this? What a way to ruin such a gorgeous invitation!

Im not in the field of education or speech.. so thats probable why i see nothing wrong with it. I would be more concerned if it was sloppy looking.

It would bother me. Little things like that really bug me.
But, i'm sure everyone knows you didn't make the invitation, so at least no one thinks that it's your mistake, ya know?

It would bother me but mainly because I'm often guilty of not proofreading my work and would feel embarrassed. But the pp's are right. No one is going to think it is your mistake!

It would bug me because I am a teacher and I'm totally anal when it comes to spelling things correctly. I wouldn't worry about it though, most people won't even notice. It's a common spelling mistake so I doubt most people would pick up on it.

That would irritate the living crap out of me - it's on the top of my list of pet peeves.
I don't think having all the words spelled right in your invitation makes you a snob.
