I would probably notice it, but not be embarrassed by it. I think I was more embarrassed when I learned that my mom sent out invitations when my NAME spelt wrong!

It is supposed to say "You're Invited", not "your invited" - This would totally irk me. You are not a snob - you are not saying that you don't like the "quality" of the invitation or the "look" of the invitation - it is clearly incorrect! My mother would die - she is the queen of grammar. All of my teen years she was correcting my grammar!

I thought i was the only one who had an invite with a misspelled name...for my bridal shower my sister spelt my husband's last name wrong...i only found out that day but i was completely morrified and very annoyed...

It would bug me as well.....But I am a Reading Specialist too...I always find mistakes...I HATE it. Im not even looking for them, but they jump out at me.

As an educator as well, this would bother me beyond belief
I know that doesnt make you feel any better, but i agree with you
I am a stickler for spelling and grammar and i cringe reading some posts on here let alone an invitation!

actually, what bothers me EVEN more is the fact that many people wouldnt even notice it; meaning they dont know that it is incorrect
but as others have already said, everyone knows that you didnt make the invites so its not YOUR mistake

That's funny - my mom made such a nice invitation for me and even my dad - who's a teacher - looked it over and they had the same mistake! I couldn't believe it!
So no, I don't think you're being a snob because you are embarrassed - I was a little bit too!
