Picture Holiday Cards

I think its fine while they are living at home.

I like photo cards, but only of kids and pets. I think its a bit weird for adult couples to send out pics of just them.

Re: Picture Holiday Cards

My 21 year old refused to be on our Christmas cards. I only do my girls. I will continue to do them until they all decide they want out.

I have a lot of friends and family that still put kid pics on their Xmas cards and their kids are in high school and college and I think it's so sweet, I love them!! I LOVE picture cards in general so IMO, there is no definite age that you need to stop. Chat Icon

I agree. The first card I received this year was from friends with their sons who have graduated from college and their dog. I completely prefer photo cards at any age!

My kids are 6 and 3 so according to some we are still in the safe zone. Chat Icon

I enjoy the photo holiday cards I get each year. I love seeing families grow and grow up. My DH's aunt sends a great photo card each year... she has a million grandchildren and she always finds a way to creatively put them on her card, so I always look forward to her's.

Re: Picture Holiday Cards

Never! Chat Icon I love getting them, I love sending them. Sometimes there's a family shot, sometimes it's just my kids. I can't believe people roll their eyes at a family picture on a holiday card, but to each his own.

I've heard people talk about how they're not signed before as well, but I design my cards myself every step of the way. It choose the picture, the layout, the coloring and I 'sign' it from the eroxgirl family.. the message is typed up by me.

So are you saying you would roll your eyes if you got this lovely family photo on this year's card?

Me too!!

I got the most beautiful card one year, it was a whole family (grandparents with their kids and grandchildren) and they wore coordinating colors. It was an awesome picture and a nice celebration of family. Chat Icon

I LOVE this!! Chat Icon

Re: Picture Holiday Cards

I love the photo cards.

We have a 9 year age difference so my DSD will be on the older side while my son is still young. I'm not sure when we'll stop, but I would like that I'll do so just when it feels natural - like maybe when DSD is out of the house. Or when I get tired of doing it, or when DS doesn't want to pose anymore.

Re: Picture Holiday Cards

My mom still sends out of us (all together). My brother is 33 and I'm 27. Chat Icon Chat Icon I finally convinced her this year that I refused to be on it bc she usually had exDH on it and I didnt't want to have to explain my seperation to all 100 of her card receivers. LOL. Instead, she opted to do a collage of her and my dad's cruise pics this year. I think it's weird but she won't change and some people love it. LOL.
