daycare M-F. I work 8:30/9 - 5ish and DH owns his own biz so depending on the season he may or may not have flexibility. DS is in daycare from 8-5:30 most days.

Re: Mom's who work full time...

My mom watches both DS and DD for us and she is a lifesaver. I techinically work full time, but I work from home (mostly at home, but some out in the field) and can adjust my schedule to meet my needs. I drop them off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon.

My Mom watches her in our home right now because she currently is still not sleeping through the night. Only twice she's done it, but it's been on the weekends..LOL!

I work 9-5, but get to work by 7:30am and DH works 12am - 8am.

Mom stays w/us during the week. BIG HELP!!!

I work 830-330 so DS goes to daycare from 8-345

my mom has been watching the baby up to this week. I was very happy that it gave my mom and the baby time to bond and I felt better it was with my mom and not a stranger. Now I am getting ready to bring the baby to daycare on Monday Chat Icon but my son learns SO MUCH there and has a lot of friends and fun that I know it will happen for the baby too!

Re: Mom's who work full time...

Hmmmm.. well I was working 8:30 - 5. I would leave at 7:30 and not get home till after 6. THis was killing me so now I've cut my hours so 4 days a week i work till 3. and mondays till 5.

It was easier with my older son he's 10) b/c my grandma came to my house in the morning to see him off to school since he started at 8:45. Now with the baby its hard. She is watching them both now but it's not going to last much longer, She's 77 and has a hard time holding him at 3 months, so don't know what's going to happen. My mom offered to cut her hours at work too and she''d take a day. If DH doesn't work over time he gets a day but after that it's up in the air. I hat the idea of a stranget watching my kids, but i guess you gotta do what you gotta do.. GOOD LUCK!

Re: Mom's who work full time...

We have Alex in daycare - it works out great for us because it's rated as the best infant/toddler center in our area (and it really is), it's one block away, and at a local synogogue where they also teach her hebrew (dh is israeli).

I work from 7:30-4 - DH works from about 10-5.

When Alex wakes up (around 6am), I get her, and put her in bed with DH to chill out and watch the disney channel while he naps. I get ready and head out the door at 7am.

At around 7am, DH gets Alex ready for school. He usually drops her off between 8-8:30am, comes back to the house and gets ready for work.

I come home anywhere between 4-5pm, and get her from school and then we all hang out when DH gets home, usually around 5:30pm.
