1. I'm not calling anyone right away. Rob would know because he will be with me. When I am ready to share the news with anyone else it will be my sister first and then my best friend. Rob's family can wait.
2. My house. Paying that baby off. Then I will buy the houses of my friends and family for them. Pay off their mortgages - or give them XX dollars to buy a nice new place of their own.
3. At least 5 million - although I probably wouldn't QUIT. I would reduce my hours and take a LOT more vacations... which may result in me getting fired..

1) It would actually be DH calling me since he's got the WINNING ticket!!  Then I'd call my mom.
2) First we'd hire a financial advisor and pay off all our debt. The first thing we'd actually buy would be new cars for the both of us.
3) I'll take all 220 MILLION!!!!!!

3. DH syas he wouldn't retire because he would feel like a loser. I would say about 20 million should last us 50 years so.

2. Plane ticket to israel! Then a spree at Bloomies! I would want to buy a house and car, but that takes time.
3. A whole lot! I don't really know.

1. I'd call DH at work and say to him "Hon, you need to leave early. Don't ask any questions, everything is OK, but get home quick"..
Then, my family and I'd have a GTG with my friends and let them all know.
2. I'd pay off our debt and help out my family. My mom is on permanent disability, so, anything to help them out.
Then vacation with my family, come back, and treat my friends to a vacation
3. Don't know how much to win to retire..I am a SAHM, so, It would have to be more then enough for DH and I Both to stay home.

1) I'd do what I did when we got engaged. I didn't call ANYONE for at least a day. I let it sink it, just the two of us.
2) definitely get an advisor right away...but save $10 mil strictly for frivilous purchases. then the rest for homes, cars and the like for us (and immediately family) and opening some kind of homeless shelter.
3) I'd want it all.

2. Funds would be allocated to certain accounts; a big purchase wouldn't happen instantly at all.

1. I would probably call nobody right away--I feel it would spread to quickly and everyone would all of a sudden be my best friend.
2. I would PAYOFF MY STUDENT LOANS, buy another home, maybe sell teh one I have. I would buy a few commercial investment properties. I would buy my sister, brother & brother in law a home and give some to my parents.
3. Really I could never retire I like what I do...I would definitely go on vacation ALOT more and I always say that if I won enough money to pay off my student loans and my mortgage I would be satisfied.
I love to dream!!!!

1. First person I would call would be my accountant. Dh would be with me so he'd know. Then I'd call my lawyer.
2. The first thing i would buy would be plane tickets for my family to where ever! We would disappear for awhile and live on credit for a month and then come home to collect it all.
3. My dad always said that if you won a small lotto like 3 million you would really only have to work for one more year. I know sounds funny saying 3 million is a small lotto!! What you should do is take your winnings and put them in an account (high yeilding if possible) but even if you put it in a regular savings account, after a year you would be able to live off just the interest and never touch the original amount you put in.

1. After telling DH, my plan would be to call the lotto office to discuss claiming the money, then I'd call my roommate from college & talk to her about being my financial adviser & ask her for an attorney (she does extremely well & would be used to dealing with those numbers). After I let it sink in for a week, I'd claim my prize.
That's the plan. Reality is that I would be screaming my head off & if all of Long Island didn't hear me, they would certainly hear the rumor from my neighbors.
2. I would need to talk to my roommate but first calculated splurge would be a new house.
3. I'm not sure when I'd retire or how much I would need.
