Magician Criss Angel shares photos of his two-year-old son as he starts first chemo treatments for leukemia
Illusionist Criss Angel has tweeted a photo showing him holding his son, Johnny Crisstopher Sarantakos after undergoing his first few rounds of chemotherapy, since being diagnosed with leukemia.
The Mindfreak magician has canceled his Las Vegas shows until November 4 so that he can be in Australia and present at the toddler's bedside during his treatment.
Early on Monday morning, the magic man posted another picture of him holding his son in the hospital. 'Johnny & I can't thank u enough for the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayers & support #amazing #curecancer,' he wrote.
Over the weekend, the showman posted a touching photo that showed the 20-month-old boy asleep in his arms. 'Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. Criss', he wrote.
Little Johnny was diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It was towards the end of last week, the 47-year-old native Long Islander, whose real name is Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos, broke the news on Twitter that not only his son was ill, but that he even had a child.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, it is the first time the magician has publicly confirmed he is a father.
'In light of a family emergency the news I was going to announce this weekend will be postponed. Thank you xc,' he initially tweeted on Thursday.
The following day he shared a heartbreaking photo without a caption of the little toddler hugging his dad as they were reunited in the back of a car.
Angel is currently headlining at the Luxor casino-hotel with his Cirque Du Soleil show, BeLIEve.

OMG I am crying. My son is 2. No one should have to deal with cancer and chemo, but especially not a toddler who can't really understand what is going on. He is adorable.
