If you didn't have to and had a two year old...

would you fly on Christmas Day?

My SIL wants to fly to Tampa on Christmas Day with my neice and then drive two hours to my MIL's in Ocala so they can spend like, 3 hours together on Christmas. My MIL doesn't care if they come down at all (Chat Icon ) so this is alll Meg.

I sort of feel like since she is two and no one is putting the pressure on her that they should enjoy their holiday and fly to Florida the day after....

Obviously, it's her life and she can do whatever she wants, but I just think it would make the holiday SO stressful where it could be so fun.

Definitely wouldn't whether someone wanted me to or not for 3 hours just because it's Christmas Day. I don't even know if I would do it without a two year old.

The 1st time we flew with our oldest daughter, she was only 1, but we stayed for 9 days and had a wedding to go to. It's not that the flying is very stressful, but then to drive for a few hours and only be able to spend 3 hours after that, it doesn't sound worth it. Tell you SIL to plan a longer vacation if she's flying with a 2-year old.

It's not her first time flying, in fact, my SIL was flying her to Florida like every 3 months between birth and two b/c it was free.

But I do agree with you that she should spend a longer time, after the 3 hours, they are driving to another part of Florida to for some other reason I cannot remember.
