There is a book (I think the name is where is babys belly button?)where you have to pull down or pull up flaps to expose a babys eyes, hands, feet etc and when I read it to Lara she knows where all the parts are she is very smart

And my bff's came over this weekend and one of them gave lara a little plastic pumpkin. I put this tiny pumpkin amoungst a ton of her other toys and when i said go bring momma your pumpkin she knew what and where it was I was shoked dont know if thats a big deal but I thought it was

AJ is ridiculously brave and friendly

At the orientation last night she refused to sit because she saw her teacher so I let her run across a large room where everyone sitting down waiting for this to start, and she hugs her teacher then looks back to us and points her thumb at the teacher as to say "Look who's here, can you see her over here?"

Then she trotted back stopping to wave to everyone she saw, shook a few hands, tossed a few kisses and smiles, few random hugs to adults and kids alike then stood next to the director as she started to speak and look at everyone (the adults seated) as if to say "are you listening?".

God help me I think she's a politician in the making!!!

I swear my boy is the nicest, most fun kid around. zero problems.

my baby is a sweetie. She puts up with a lot...Josh and I have a problem staying put and we drag her little bottom all over town!

My 6 year old adds numbers in his head. Double digit numbers. 56+23 and he'll tell you 79. At least I am impressed with that! Plus he knows time. For example, he asked the other night when daddy would be home. I told him not until 8:45 the earliest. So he's silent for a minute, then says to me, "can I stay up another 51 minutes?" Seriously, it was like 7:54 and I was trying to get him in bed by 8 p.m.

Adam is only 5 1/2 months old and is fearless. If he gets startled/scared, he starts cracking up. Just today he had 3 large dogs barking in his face (at my friends house) and he was smiling and laughing. He got his Hep B shot last month and didn't even flinch.
He's so strong, he had great neck control by 2 weeks and by 3-4 weeks his head wouldn't flop back when you pulled him up to a sitting position. He's been rolling both ways for months already and can sit unassisted. He's army crawling right now but I think he'll be crawling any day because he has pulled himself up on all fours a few times already.

Love this thread!!!!!

Sadie is almost 19 months and her speaking is insane. She asks questions and talks in simple sentences....been doing this since another 15 months.
Ex "Where's the remote? Ohhhhh remote where areeee youuuu? I found the remote! TV on? Fix it." LOL... she is pretty hilarious.

She knows how to sing a few songs and can count to 10.

She can feed herself really well with a spoon and a fork (although she eats NOTHING).

Oh yah Chels is soooo affectionate, not just with me but with other kids...she met a girl today at the park and tried giving her a kiss
When she does something bad like throw something in a fit of rage she immediately comes to me and puts her head on my lap and hugs me, she so plays me

DD had her 4 month CU yesterday. She's 15lb 6 oz and 15" long!!

The dr. was very impressed with her head control, alertness and the fact that she rolls over both ways for two months already.

Cailen just conducted brain surgery, rescued 3 kittens from a tree, and saved a family from a firey buidling. All on the same day!!!

As for Sienna-She is sleeping like a good girl! CIO is going amazing! She went from waking 7 times a night to sleeping from 7-5!

Brody just turned 2 on Sunday.

I left him at my Mom's house for an hour while I took Ava to dance the other day.

WHen I got back, I got a big kiss on the lips and he said "Mommy come back, Mommy always come back. I missed you."

I guess this can be a brag:

This morning, while eating breakfast with Grandma, Sabrina decided instead of Cheerios, she wanted a brownie (she baked them with Grandma last night). When I told her she had to eat her Cheerios first, she grabbed a brownie and took a bite I told her to put it down or else I would take the one out of her lunch box and she wouldn't have it for preschool. I insisted she finish her breakfast.

So... my ingenious little 3.5 y.o. looked and Grandma's bowl with 6 Cheerios left in it, and her own bowl that was full and said " Grandma, let's trade bowls" (reaches over and trades, finishes Grandma's remaining Cheerios) "Look Mommy, I'm finished!!"

We are in big trouble when she gets older.

Now. real bragging:preschool teacher substitute who met her once said Sabrina is really ahead of the curve. She seems to be one or two steps ahead of everyone else and offers to help other students. She is great at sharing and very compassionate and has been dubbed class therapist.

A few minutes after DS was born he heard my voice (when the nurses were cleaning him up) and completely lifted he head up and turned it to my voice. He had full head control before 2 months.

He rolled over from tummy to back at 7 days old (twice!), but didn't do it again until 8 wks, 1 day.


ETA: And at 3 months he started sleeping from 8:30pm to 8:30am, waking up only once to nurse

Lily had her second day of Nursery School today.....her first day all by herself (her dad stayed with her for the first day). She was really nervous about it yesterday....but when she got there, she gave him a kiss goodbye and went right in to play!
And she was so proud of herself for going there "alone" as she says.
My baby really is growing up....I'm so proud of her!

DS (2 1/2) transitioned to a big boy bed perfectly. One night he was in his crib, the next I told him he was going to sleep in his bed, he got so excited and slept until 9 the next day!!

He is a late talker and is finally having a word explosion! SO awesome to hear all of his little words.

this is my favorite thread by far!

mia is 5 mos old and the ped says she has advanced gross motor skills. she has always been ahead in many things, like sitting unassisted or unsupported since 4.5mos old. her hand eye coordination is unreal. she's been STTN since 1mo old and is sleeps 11-12 hrs a night without eating!!! (my boobs might disagree that this is something to brag about )
