Lawn care-how much does it cost?
DH travels for business, his busy season is in the spring/summer and the lawn just gets out of control.
I can either hire a baby sitter and get out there myself, or hire someone to do the lawn. Probably better to out source the lawn work.
About how much does it run to do mowing, edging, weed whacking on a regular basis? We have 1/3 of an acre total (front and back).

We hired someone, weekly mowing, edging, whacking and pruning- $115 per month.
If we wanted seeding and fertilizer it would be another $60 per month-not signing up for that yet.

We pay about $240 a month for .64 of an acre-- more for spring and fall clean up.

I used to do it myself and it took me amost 2 hours to do mowing and edging and bagging clippings. They do it in 15-20 minutes.
So, minus the back breaking labor that I will miss (NOT!!!!), it comes to similar $$$.
We spend $25 per week. It would cost me about $20 for a babysitter. Unless you have a mother helper and that's cheaper.
I used to be "cheap" and do it myself but then realized it was not worth it. I prefer to give out take out 1 time in the week and have someone do it.
They don't do my weeding though.

We pay $25/week. Not sure what this translates too in terms of acres, but our property is 75x100.

we have 60x100 property and we pay about $22 per weekly cut. then the addition seeding, pesticide,or whatever treatments they do is an additional charge (I just know they do 4 of them, I forget how much they are).

we were paying $25 for 30 x 100 lot. Spring/Fall clean up, shrub trimming, seeding, etc was extra. In 4 years they didn't raise the price though!

i pay $148 a month.....i am on a plan and that price includes everything....weekly maintenance, fall and spring clean-up, trimming shrubs, fertilizer etc.

Our property is 60x100 and we pay $20 per week (i talked them down $5). They do several houses on our street. This doesn't include the spring and fall clean up which is like $220ish combined. Also doesn't include fertilizing, we do that ourselves (buy it at Home Depot and use the spreader).
It would take DS 3 hours to do it and he was out there sweating. Wasn't worth it for him since he's already gone 12 hours a day and only really enjoys weekends.
