Jenna Bush Wedding - location Poll
If you were in Jenna Bush's shoes, where would have your wedding?
I was watching Fox News while sitting for jury duty this week. The anchorwoman made a big deal about Jenna not choosing the White House.
I'm curious about what others would have chosen if they were the President's daughter.
Which would you choose?

hometown wedding = ranch wedding

White House - for a couple reasons.
I'm not an outdoor wedding kinda girl. I get hives outside at this time of year!
and I love the exclusivity!

I hope she had her dream day!! It sounds like she is a Texas girl with a lot of Texas touches such as wildflowers.
Persoanlly I would have done a White House wedding- one of the Nixon daughters had a rose garden wedding that looked gorgeous! It would have been a once in a lifetime thing, but I hope she had exactly what it is that she wanted. 
I also hope no one judged her based on her father. She is her own person and deserves s day of happiness!

I choose the ranch wedding. I, too, think the White House would be a target. Plus, the ranch is more my style.

She seems to be very much her own person and had specific ideas about how she wanted the wedding to be. . .
Given the state of the economy, the historic low approval rating of our president, and the fact that we are fighting two wars, I think a fancy White House wedding would have been the wrong way to go in these times.

for me? i was all about glam as a bride - loves me some glam, lol! so i would love a white house wedding w/ a full mass at the national cathedral - that is right up my alley BUT that is NOT jenna - people who know a lot about her and the bush family - i've read about them a lot - would know that they are NOT those kind of people. i was just posting about this on the celeb board - president bush never even had a white tie affair at the white house until the queen came and that was a big exception for her - they have not done it since - just not his style.
so, all in all, i admire her for doing what she wants regardless of what most people think she should have done being that she had the opportunity to do so. i think it is kind of cool that she stuck to her taste and her personality. it's kind of cool b/c he proposed in maine and they got married in texas and the family has houses in both states so both places were involved in the whole wedding process.

On a side notes. DH is so jealous of the band she used. It is a local band from Nashville and he loved them in college. (He is from Nashville). He said they are kind of like a local band that everyone knows and compared them to Peat Moss (from around here)

I'm with you - I was so disappointed in the no white house wedding, but knowing Jenna like I do  I can guess that this was her thing. I suspect Barbara would have done the White House. But, that's purely a guess...and hope. LOL.
