Re: is your heat on yet?
Not yet, it's still pretty warm during the days, so we've just been wearing warm pjs at night, and I got out our warm winter comforter. But with the price of oil, I'm trying to go as long as possible with out turning the heat on.

Re: is your heat on yet?
nope, not yet! it's been a little chilly but we'll just throw on sweatshirts. i've woken up a couple mornings this week and it was 62 in the house but we're both gone all day so no use in turning the heat on to heat an empty house

Re: is your heat on yet?
nope. the weather is so unpredictable here right now. the house was down to 59 a week and a half ago and now its beautiful out again. i wont turn it on until the weather is very cool for longer than a week! i love having the window open at night and snuggling into bed. i just put DD in her warm pjs with her blankets and her windows closed, she is always fine!

Re: is your heat on yet?
no, I'd like to try to make it through this month at least without turning it on. Depends how cold it gets though. My heat bill is so insane during the winter.

Not yet, but I did turn the gas fireplace on in the family room tonight to take the chill out on the main level.

still have my central air on
Us too! But we plan on turning the CAC off for the season this weekend and just opening windows. Heat will come on shortly I'm sure. We had some cold nights this week. DS' room was 66 one morning this week, he's above the garage.
What?!?! LOL! I turned our heat on last week. Of course it's set to only go on if the house is below 67 so it hasn't been on much but some of these mornings it's been below that. We have a 6 month old baby (luckily her room is the warmest in the house and the lowest it's gone is 69) so I don't want it too cold in here!

According to our thermostat, it hasn't gotten below 68 in here and that is with windows open all night.

It's not even a thought in our house yet. DH and I both love a cold house. We finally turned off the central a/c and are now sleeping with the windows open and the ceiling fan.

Re: is your heat on yet?
We did have it on last night as it was to go down in the 40's. We were outside all night too and were freezing when we got home. It won't go back on though until it gets very cold again.

Re: is your heat on yet?
Nope. Trying to hold out buying oil since we are really low on funds now. We have an electric stove-like thing that we are using in the livingroom and our bedroom is upstairs and we like it a bit chilly when we sleep. My DH is gonna build an entertainment center around a fireplace insert for the livingroom and the electric stove that we have will go upstairs. Hope we don't have to use the oil heat too much.

NO way!!! LOVE this cool weather. I hold put as long as possible with the heat but even when it's on we keep our house at 65 during the day and 63 at night. We like a cool house.

Same. I have a brand new house so the insulation and windows are top notch.
I don't anticipate turning the heat on until sometime in November at least. I had my CAC running a few days ago.

Re: is your heat on yet?
How quickly things change. We just turned our CAC off last Friday but we turned our heat on today The reality of the cold is here.
DS' room was 64 yesterday so we turned it on for him. It's set to 66 though bc I don't really want the heat on yet, kwim. Just don't want him to get cold if the house gets too cold.
