Re: Is Tigger really hitting this child?
And this is just pathetic:
"The general manager apologized to me," Monaco said, "everyone came up to apologize but Tigger. He won't be a man about it get out of the costume and apologize to my son."

Has anyone ever been in one of those outfits in a costume? How hard is it to see out of it? Could he be going to get that kid off of him and accidently smack him upside the head? Looks to me that is what happened. He didn't get hit. The family needs to relax
And the family member wants "him" to be a man come out of costume and apologize. What if it was a woman
My son got beat up by a girl
It didn't look like much to me. I would LOVE it if a 20-something year old girl came out of the costume. I wonder if Disney would even release the name of the employee in the costume. Disney apologized, why isn't that enough?

Re: Is Tigger really hitting this child?
What sucks is that by apologizing, Disney has admitted fault, which likely means this family will get something for the lovetap.....

Re: Is Tigger really hitting this child?
I watched it carefully, look at the feet- tigger is stepping on the kids foot and when the kid moves he was stumping and tigger went to grab him most likely to make sure he didnt fall. totally innocent family just looking to get some money! I feel bad for that employee.

Re: Is Tigger really hitting this child?
IMO I think it looks like the kid is messing with tigger's costume or head and tigger (who can't see well ) is trying to grab his arm.
Notice the parents cut off the tape and don't have the WDW employees walking up

Re: Is Tigger really hitting this child?
Ok i have watched this over and over and that kid is definitely doing something to the head piece of tigger. He must have stuck his hand behind the head to pull the mask off because if you watch it you can see that his arm is almost stuck behind tigger and tigger is just trying to pull away from him and it even looks like he tries to fix the head of the custome. The kid needs to grow up!

When DH and I went to Disney about 7 years ago...Tigger was VERY gropey with me..it was weird
OMG! when i was at Disney i got groped by one of the 7 dwarfs AND one of the characters from that Robin Hood cartoon version (with the fox that plays robin hood). the dwarf was rubbing my back when we were taking a picture and the other guy was kissing my hand and stroking it!!! i was so skeezed out!!!

and this kid looks like he's 14
grow a set of balls, you're gonna cry because you got a love tap from a foam hand?
My thoughts exactly. It looks like Tigger barely even touched him
I agree. this was blown way out or proportion.

Re: Is Tigger really hitting this child?
Those costumes have horrible visability so I can easily see that Tigger was turning to pat him on the shoulder and missed. The only thing that's throwing me is the way Tigger looped his arm around the kid's arm before he turned around. It looks sort of defensive but at the same time it looks like the kid was doing something to Tigger.

Re: Is Tigger really hitting this child?
This line says it all to me: The father said Fedelem intentionally hit his son "on or about the head,
Translation : lawsuit.
Looks to me like the kids was doing something in back of the costume. Not saying he should get punched...well, maybe it is really hot in there.

Re: Is Tigger really hitting this child?
no.. the kid was being a douchebag. and now his parents are, too
he was probably pulling on the costume. meanwhile- after the "attack" he was still laughing and the 2 people in front seemed completely unfazed by the situation.
if he thinks thats a 'bad hit'.. he's got a LONG road ahead of him in life

Re: Is Tigger really hitting this child?
Disney released a statement yesterday saying that the boy was pulling the back of the costume and the person inside was having trouble breathing because the kid was chocking him with the costume. I assume he was trying to grab his arm off of the costume and could not see and hit him accidentally while trying to grab his arm.

To me, it looks like an accident!!
ETA: Just watched it again- and it really does look like the teenager is pulling Tigger's tail.
