Im still on the rollercoaster
Yesterday I had my appt for an internal sonogram since I was estimated almost 7 weeks. So DH met me at the Dr.'s office and we are both super excited to see/hear a heartbeat!!!
So the procedure starts and the technician says, "did they tell you here that you are pregnant.....because I dont see anything" No baby, no heartbeat.
However she did see a "really large" cyst on my ovary.
The tech called the Dr since he was at another office and he told me that if i feel really sharp pains and start throwing up that I should call him because that is an emergency (cyst could rupture)
They sent me for bloodwork. I went yesterday and I have to go again tomorrow to test for an increase in my hormine levels. Then on Monday morning Im going back in for another internal sonogram and my Dr will be there so he can look at the cyst too. They have to monitor it.
They also said that there is a chance that maybe I am just a lot earlier than they thought and thats why they did not see a baby. The tech also said that maybe the cyst created the false positive??
On the way home DH and I picked up another HPT and it was positive.
I just feel so lost and helpless. We already told our parents. And my sister in laws keep asking me if I got my period, Im so overwhelmed, I dont know what to do
PLEEEEEEEASE send me your LIF prayers, I really need for everything to be ok.
ETA: Read my last 2 posts to understand what has been happening if you have not already

Re: Im still on the rollercoaster
I'm so sorry you're going through this.
I have no firsthand experience, but if you have a really long cycle (which IIRC you do) then even though they calculated that you are about 7 weeks along you may have only ovulated two weeks ago. ANd in that case the fetus is likely much younger than they are assuming, and you probably wouldn't see what you were expecting during the sonogram. I hope that's it and you get some good news soon.

That's such a long wait. Since you have to go for another blood test tomorrow, can they at least let you know if the numbers are rising appropriately? At least that will give you a little relief over the weekend.
I hope that after all this you get great news!

I just called the office and they said that I wouldnt know till Monday. I guess they still have not received the results form yesterday so they probably wont receive tomorrows results until Saturday and no one is in the office then so I will find out on Monday. She told me to stay calm

I think the way they estimate it is they count back three months from your last period and then go forward one week. My last period was January 25th. Thats how they get the DD, but the 7 weeks i think he just estimated how long since my last period?

right... if you have a 28 day cycle then thats fine but for everyone else its totally inaccurate...
have you been testing at all prior to your BFP? what CD were you on?

Re: Im still on the rollercoaster
Yes I tested a lot. I got my first faint BFP on CD46. The time before that I tested on CD42 and it was a BFN. I also tested CD47 and 48 and the line got slightly darker. I was having trouble understanding the OPK procedure. i think I got a positive OPk around CD31 or 32.
ETA: I went back to my old posts to figure out when I got a positive for my OPK

Thanks so much for being so carin and giving me hope. I really want to be as hopeful as I can.
But what is up with this "huge" cyst. Anyone ever experience this with a pregnancy?
