i'm devestated :(
she threw up AGAIN....
we re-introduced formula today - but watered down.... 7 ounces water, 6 ounces of formula mixed in. she just vomited it ALL up..... she went 24 hours yesterday - NO vomit and now this...
i know what the doc is going to say when he calls back...to do the suppository....
tomorrow night/early Thursday marks 1 WEEK of this insanity....
my poor angel...

What are the Dr's saying it is, viral?
Maybe you should insist on a blood test, urine test etc just to check her all out

until i just spoke to him now he was thinking that, yes.
we have to do a diaper culture, as now he's worried that it's more than just a virus. what came out of her diaper just now has me hysterical crying....SO not okay...and i'm alone - as dave's at work....how do you deal with a hysterically crying baby because her butt hurts when she goes and she's crying because she's starving because she just vomited....
i just want to die for her...i hate seeing her like this....

When Kaydyn had the virus. She threw up randomly a couple of days later. She had diarhea for almost a week. If she cannot keep down the formula then keep on with the pedialyte.
Can she keep down food at all? We kept kaydyn on toast, applesauce, and bananas for quite a few days to make sure the virus was out of her system.
hope she feels better soon...maybe let her soak in a lukewarm bath (too warm hurts the rash too) for a while and wrap her in a towel without a diaper for a while to let her air out.

When DS had his stomach bug, he had some days where he held down lliquids and other days where he randomly threw up- no fever or anything.
We had to cut all dairy out for a solid week. He lived on water, pedialyte and gatorade for 7 days. After that, we went through the BRAT diet and he was fine again. It boggled my mind because I couldn't figure out why he would randomly throw up some days and not others. It all turned out to be a virus.
I hope your DD gets better soon!

Reflux children unfortunately take a lot longer to recover from stomach bugs. My daughter used to take a week to ten days before she was back to her normal. It's frustrating and tiring, but hang in there.

yea kaydyn gets an awful rash from too much dairy with sores and everything. She would scream when I changed her. It was awful and I'd be sobbing along with her. As I said I just kept trying to give her baths or let her sit without a diaper. It's heartbreaking to see them in so much pain.

It took us 7 days to get TJ back on formula. We'd think he was doing better and then he'd throw up again.
He was able to hold down pedialyte.
What kind of formula are you using? We had to switch to Similac Sensitive - lactose free - so he could eat again. His regular Gentlease and Soy came right back up. It could be that her belly isn't quite ready for formula yet (our ped likened it to if you have a stomach bug, you aren't going to have a huge glass of milk).
I hope Emma gets better soon! It's very trying dealing with an infant and a stomach bug.
