If your DC takes one mid-day nap

What time do they eat lunch?

DD is starting to refuse her morning nap and I think she'll be napping through her old lunchtime (12:30). Not sure if I should give her lunch before she naps or after.

I think this changing for us but right now she eats at 11:30/12 used to be 11/11:30 and going down about 12:30/1 used to be 12/12:15.

It seems to be shifting a bit. But her naps have been getting shorter and I am working on this.

I would feed before so they dont wake up b/c they are hungry.

DD eats at 12 and sleeps from 12:30 - 4

DD usually eats lunch around noon. She will then take a nap from 12:30ish to 3.

eta: reading the below post, I just wanted to add ITA. Up until a couple of months ago, DD used to sleep from around 11-2/2:30 and would get lunch when she woke up. Never any issues. The lunchtime only changed when she dropped down to 1 nap and that's when she started having lunch before her nap.

When DD transferred to 1 nap she went in about 11, so it was way too early for lunch, so for a while there, she was eating lunch between 2:30 & 3pm! I honestly don't think it really matters if you give them lunch beforehand. I think it depends on what time your DC eats breakfast. If you can get lunch in before the nap - great, if not, afterwards is just fine - we did it for quite some time until her nap got progressively later. Now she eats lunch about 12:30 and goes in for her nap about 1 - 1:30. (but she is 2.5)

We pick up DD at pre-k at 11:30ish, lunch at 12, nap 12:30-3ish.

The twins have a bottle around 12 and then go down at 12:30. Then they're usually up around 2:30 and will have a snack of yogurt and something else at 3:00.

Well I'm glad I gave her lunch before... she ended up not going down until 1:30! Let's see how long she sleeps.

lunch at 11am, nap at 12pm

But, we have been 30-45 min late with both almost every day for 2 weeks now.

We do lunch at 12 and nap at 1, but when we were in your position, I usually tried to give a substantial snack before and after nap, so he technically didn't have lunch. By substantial snack, I mean a yogurt some cheese or some toast or apple with peanut butter, etc.

'they' say she eats at 11:30 and goes to the nap room at 12pm.

At home its not even CLOSE. She eats around 11 and goes to nap around 1-2pm

At school, DS has lunch before. At home, we usually feed him afterwards (he naps 2 hrs).

Lunch at 11:30, nap 12pm-ish till 3pm.

DS goes down anywhere from 10:30-11:30 and naps for about 2 hours. I feed him lunch when he gets up.
