if you had a c section when did you drive?

for DD i did not have a c section so i can drive right away with DS i had to have an unplanned c section the doctor told me i couldnt drive for at least a month I had him on November 15th my next doctors appointment isnt till December 23rd i dont and cant wait till drive till then.

I need to and want to drive but i aslo dont want to hurt myself. I havent taken any mortrin or pain killers since novemebr 26th which was when i had my last appointment and she checked my incision and everything look great.

I have no pain the only thing ihave is a weird sensation feeling above the incision arean when i touch it.

Would you drive now?

2 weeks with my first
1 week with my second bc I had to go to the OB and wasn't going to take both boys.

2 weeks. I think once you are off narcotics you should be good.

A week I think. My Dr probably told me to wait longer but I felt great so I drove.

I think 2 wks was recommended, but I know I didn't wait that long with my 3rd since I had two kids to shuttle back and forth.

Definitely out of the norm but my doc told me I could drive from the hospital if I wanted. I drove to an appointment 2 weeks after my ds was born.

I drove 10 days after my C-section. I honestly forgot to ask my doctor when I could and no one mentioned anything to me at the hospital. I felt fine other than it was a little sore when I had to turn around when backing the car up but it wasn't bad at all.

I drove 7 days later. But i felt fine and only took motrin 1 time when i was leaving the hospital. But i got out after about 48 hours.

I drove after my OB appt, around 2 weeks. My dr said I could drive as soon as I could easily, without pain, check over my shoulder quickly in both directions.

2 weeks bc I didn't want to drag dd out for my post op check up so I had dh stay home with her and I drove myself. I put a pillow between the seatbelt strap and my incision.

I think about 2-3 weeks after. I think that first time with the baby in the car, was the slowest I've ever driven in my life on purpose

I waited just a few days, maybe one week. I was never told not to drive though.

My dr said I could drive whenever I was pain free. I drove after 10 days

I was driving within 10 days or so.

I am not sure exactly sure how long, but I know it was before the recommended amount of time. I only drove short distances though until I was cleared.

1 week. I felt awful but I had to take DS to his 1 week appt.

2 weeks..I believe it's an insurance issue. I could be totally wrong but I think I remember the doctor saying that even if you aren't taking the pain meds, if you happen to get in an accident and they discover you have had a CS your auto insurance may not cover you.
