When can you drive after c section?
Sorry. I know it's been asked recently but I can't find it.
I'm not on painkillers other than advil. I don't get staples out til thurs.
DD is in the nicu and I'd like to be able to take turns With dh visiting her while dh is off this week. Right now we have to have someone to watch our other twin and someone to drive me to the hospital. Noone is around this week to do eiher so I basically won't get to see my DD. I'm reeeaally hoping she comes home by tues the latest.

When can you drive after c section?
They say 2 weeks, I drove after 7 days. If you are in an accident, and your airbag goes off, it could be bad. I know plenty of people that drove after a week. That said, if you have a babysitter for Twin 1, I would be happy to drop you or pick you up and give you a lift. Just send me a message!

Thank you so much! You are a sweetheart!!
Dh will be home so he can watch the other twin.
I'm hoping she starts eating as much as she needs to to be released in the next few days. She is like 10 ml away. She is improving though. Went from 25 -35 consistently. She has to do 45 for some consistent feedings to be released. She is still losing. :( They say it's just a matter of immaturity because she was a premie although her weight was ok.

Aww, she will be home before you know it. I am off during the day so please FB message me anytime tomorrow if you need a ride. Luke loves being in the car! I am glad you are feeling well and the babies are doing great!

Re: When can you drive after c section?
I was told 2 weeks but I drove after a week both times. I had no complications after my first and was doing everything I normally was. I had disolveable stitches and was glued closed so I wasn't too worried.

Re: When can you drive after c section?
I don't remember with DD. If I wind up with a section during this pregnancy, they told me 6 weeks.

Re: When can you drive after c section?
For my son it was 6 weeks because I had been on bed rest so I had muscle atrophy. For my DD it was 2 weeks as I had a normal pg for her.

They mentioned that since it would my second, they'd be cutting into the same muscle and scar tissue . But if I had a baby in the NICU, no way would I listen to that.
I hope she's home with you soon!

Re: When can you drive after c section?
As soon as you feel up for it. It has to do with the medication you are taking too. I didnt take medication after 3 days. I still took it easy and stayed home for the 1st week. After that i was out and about everyday with DS. we drove and walked everywhere.

Re: When can you drive after c section?
I was cleared at one week PP, but I asked about it. Don't know if it would have come up if I hadn't. I was only taken pain meds at night at that point.
