Dr. Phil annoys me too. Never liked him from what little I've ever seen of him.
When did we become so sensitive that a crack about Wyoming is "obnoxious"?  Unless you are from there or have family living there...and even still... people (city friends of mine) make cracks about Long Island all the time... I can take it.

I make cracks about my friend who lives in Scarsdale because she lives upstate  after all anything north of the bronx is upstate

I have a few things to say that i have put in numerical order for organizational purposes:
1. I also dislike "Dr." Phil. Like people said, he does not have a doctorate in psycology. He might have been licensed once, but apparently he gave one of his patients a job, which is a conflict and had his license revoked (according to a friend who is going to get his doctorate in psycology).
2. Judge Judy was a real judge. The judge shows on TVs are arbitrators. Judge Judy makes crazy money too.

I don't really care, and I can't believe that I'm sort of standing up for him, but according to the University of North Texas's web site, Dr. Phil earned a PhD in clinical psychology there in 1979.

Ok...I have read and reread all 4 pages that are here so far and I can not believe how rude you are being! Most of your "posts" aka responses have been mean, and uncalled for. You're right typing makes it hard to understand the tone being used, and that's why I didn't want to respond. However, the more I read from you the madder i'm getting. I can not believe the way you're responding to people's feelings. Since when are you judge and jury? And another thing.......I can't stand Dr. Phil. He just creeps me out.

Interesting... I hadn't seen that. I'll have to look into that. Even if she is still a judge, she's not acting in that capacity on the show -- and I can't imagine a judge that's still on the bench being able to do that sort of TV show, but stranger things have happened.

Judge Jury is real.
Dr. Phil, well, all I would say that a "real" dr. would not use anyone for his own profit/show.
A "real" dr. helps his patients but does not advertise about them (HIPAA laws!!! hello!!!).
Britney needs help but I am not sure the publicity around Dr. Phil is the best choice for her. Really! Reality Celebrity TV therapy????? Sure!!! That's going to help anyone.
