Re: How much do you spend a month...

Most of what I spend goes to clothes for DD. It's a problem, she has way too many clothes.

For myself, I'd say about $100-$200 a month between clothes, hair, make up, etc. And that's not every month.

I color my hair myself and get a haircut almost once a month so that's $70 for everything incl. tip.

I get a mani once a week or every two. $10

I tend to shop for clothes when the seasons change and I spend approx. $500 each time so that's $2,000 a year plus little splurges in between of maybe another $1,000 over the year.

I get make-up twice a year @ $200 each time.

So, broken down per month that's about $400 max.

I forgot facials/massages. Usually I have gift cards, but I may spend $250 a year on treatments.

Not much.

I spend $250 a year on hair straightening and about $160 a year on haircuts ($40 x 4).

I never buy any expensive clothes. I shop at target, old navy, H&M, Kohls... I would estimate $600 a year on clothes and $150 a year on shoes.

I estimate about $100 a year on shampoo/cond and make-up. I buy everything from Target and Walmart & make my own skincare products at work.

So that $1260 a year, just over $100 per month.

it really varies every month. I didn't buy clothes for a while b/c i was PG w/ DD, then i didnt want to buy clothes for that in between period. When i went back to work, i wore scrubs and crocs, so i was set there. Now i changed jobs, so i spent alot this month on new clothes, shoes, etc.

I stopped getting my hair highlighted when i was PG (given that i get all A.D.D sitting there for 3 hours when they do it, it was a good excuse for me to have long roots lol), so i dont have that cost anymore.

I'd say on average, i spend about $1000/month on "stuff". Sometimes that stuff is clothes for DD, DH and myself, sometimes its on electronics or house stuff, baby gear, etc. It just varies by month how its allocated, i guess.

my husband and i have become very cheap Chat Icon

if you include things like soap, razors, deoderant i guess i spend $50 a month on myself (average)...

every few months i get a haircut

i do my color at home

once in awhile mani/pedi

clothes/accessories haven't bought anything in awhile - i really only buy something if i need an outfit for an occasion, or new shoes, or new bathing suit...but i dont work and am a homemaker so i dont need a lot of clothes - i wear a lot of jeans and tanks or sweats...

ETS: i am showing this thread to my husband so i can justify my already thrifty spending Chat Icon

Yes, this is about what I spend too. I dont color my hair and I have about 2-3 pedis a year- max.

I forgot my recent gym membership- $50/month- had to do it because I can't run for a while with my knee injury.
