I was kinda hoping I could charge her less than $10. I asked the girl what she charged and she said it didn't matter. Makes me wonder if she babysits at all! Yet she works full time at daycare..

By me most people pay $15 per hour for 1 or 2 kids. My SIL is paying $20 per hour for 2 kids!

For those that said they tip: I've never heard of tipping your babysitter  What do you base that on?

I have never heard that too. We give her birthday gifts and a Christmas gift, but not typically tips.
Ours is $10 per hour for one toddler.

I pay $15/hour for two 10 month olds during the day. At night, if they are sleeping when the sitter gets there, I pay $10/hour and I always round up.

I used to babysit and if I was there for any of the meals the parents would offer me food. Most of the time I had already eat but it was nice for them to ask specially because some time I was on my way to or from college and didnt had time to eat.

Gratefully we have only had to pay a babysitter once. I have her $10 per hour and all she had to do was sit on the couch and watch tv. I had DS asleep for the night before she got here.

$10 per hour for my 19 month old. Her price, not mine. She did tell me she also babysits 3 brothers, don't know the ages and she charges $15 an hour for them.

Thats what I was thinking! I used to babysit in high school/college and I got $10 an hour. This is going back 10 years!
I wouldn't think the rate is the same now! Really!?
