Babysitters-How much do they charge?
I have 2 kids, 9 and 4 and wonder how much sitters get now. We have used free sitters and need to find someone soon when both kids are in full time school.

not too long ago i was paid 10 an hour (like 4 years ago)....and right now i pay my sitter 13 an hour (shes been here for a year and stated off at 12...she has gotten 2 50 cent raises!! haha)

For 2 kids, I'd say at least $8 an hour. A few years ago I sat for a 1 year old, and they paid me $10/hr (this was on LI - but I was in college at the time).

We pay $10 an hour plus a little extra for 9 y/o and 2 month old. I asked friends who use sitters and whose teens babysit and this seems to be the going pay. HTH
