How much do you pay for your LO's haircut?

Kieran has only had 2 haircuts before. His first, we took him to the barber that my husband goes to and I actually have no memory of how much it was. I was away this past weekend, and my husband took him for another haircut at a kiddie place he found near us (not one of the chains) and he said they charged $18. This seemed like a lot to me, but I really have nothing to compare it to. Where do you all take your little ones and how much do you pay?

I am a hairdresser and I think $18 is a lot for a little kids haircut. JMO

I took DD for her first cut this past weekend and paid $10, it wasn't a childrens place, just a salon where I normally go. she is authorized Paul Mitchell and I got a cute little card for Baby's First cut, to keep a lock of hair and a photo and some details.

The kids places charge more. For DD's first haircut I went to a kids' place and paid what I felt was too much, but I got a cute certificate, a lock of hair, and plenty of cute pictures. Now I go to Headcutters with a coupon.

We just went today to a kiddie place at the mall & it was $10 each (we had a $2 coupon off); although I tipped each $5

My mom is a hair dresser so she cuts his hair, however when shes not around (and thats half the year) ds goes w dh to the barber n thats i think $12 or $15. I cant remember exactly since dh takes him not me

wow. I live in Brooklyn, and every kids place charges $25. I bought a doodle deal for one for $10 and was so happy!

For his first 3 haircuts I brought him to a Kiddie place -$20 during the week and $25 on the weekend. His 4th haircut, I wised up and brought him to a barber that has a "car" chair for kids. It was a GREAT haircut and it only cost $8!

I think it's about $14. I know it's $1-$2 less than my hairdresser friend charges for a child. DH takes him to a barber.

The kids places are more expensive. We only went for DS's first cut. Now he goes to the barber with my DH, they charge $10-$15. I think my DH gives the guy $20 which includes the tip.

$8 or $10, I forget - it's at a local place that does mens and boys haircuts.

ETA: We tip about $10 because DS is terrible about getting his hair cut and we only do it once every few months and the guys there are SO nice!

For DS' first haircut we took him to a really cute place in Brooklyn and it was $25 plus tip.

For all future haircuts, he'll probably go to where DH gets his haircut. Not sure how much it will be for him, but I believe it's about $10.

I took DS to a kids place for his first cut and it was $25 plus tip. After that he has been going to a regular barber ($8).

We took him to DH's barber ... his 1st cut was free and he got an adorable certificate with a lock of hair. All other cuts (hes had about 8) are either $8 or free if its just a trim around the ears and neck.

$25 and will never again pay that. I got a certificate and a lock of hair but for a 5 minute scream fest, it was not worth it!!!!!!

I just take him to the place I get my haircut and she charges $5 when I bring him in. If I'm getting a cut also she doesn't charge me for him.

DD"s is $25 plus tip. I hate paying that but that's how much the kids places by me charge.

For his first official haircut, we took him to Fairy Tales in Hewlett - they charged $16. We've since taken him to the barber twice and it was $12 each time. A lot, if you ask me.....
