usually $60 after tips (a cactus salon)
last time - $20 after tip (a local mom n pop place)
No difference in the quality of the cut. Only difference I noticed was less expensive shampoo/conditioner/styling products (which don't matter to me anyway, because I usually go home and wash my hair again. i hate feeling like there's loose hair on me. )

My cut a few weeks ago was in Queens and was $57. But that was a layered cut and a blowout. I don't know how much it would have been without the blowout...

I go to a woman's house to have my hair done, and she charges me $25. I have a pretty simple hair style, and am usually getting a 2 inch trim with long layers, and a blow out. The only annoying thing is that she takes forever to get back to me to schedule appointments, so I'm considering going back to the salon near my house, which I loved when I first moved here. They charged $42 with their least experienced hairstylists 2 years ago.

ive paid from $65-150
depending on the stylist.
Typically my cut is about $85
I cant get over the low prices you ladies pay. I wish I had those prices where I live.

Yanni at Salon BellaDonna in Old Bridge on Route 9. I have been living here for nearly 3 years and the first year I was traveling to Queens. Then I started stopping random people in stores if I liked there hair. This is the 3rd place I have tried. That price does include the washing, cutting and blowout.

I pay about $17 at this Unisex place at the mall where most of the ladies don't speak English, or at least pretend not to so they can ignore me & do want they want with my hair!
It's really quick though, & no appointments needed, which is why I have ben going there.
I'm in search of some place new. . .

I am always sruprised at the low prices on LI, my mom pays I think $55 or 65 WITH color.
I get crapy haircuts at a really cheap place, b/c there doesn't seem to be much middle ground in Westchester either.

i didn't take the poll, bc i'm not 100% sure how much my girl charges anymore - when i go, i always get coloring etc too. i know for a cut she used to be $45 but it might be $50 or $55 now

50 bucks for a cut and blow! I think it's a great deal though because my stylist does an amazing job- she can easily work in Manhattan and charge double!!!

I used to pay 75 dollars for just the cut, no tips.
Then I couldn't justify spending that anymore, even though I loved the cuts, because I found someone who does a cut I like just as much for only 35 dollars. So, that's what I pay now.

ive gone through a lot of phases. a few years ago my gf referred me to a hair godess at Dramatics in the city; the works would cost me $300
i got over it. started going to a salon in howard beach, payed 45 for a plain cut not including tip or blow dry.
i started questioning even that, to cut off 1 inch of hair! started getting cuts in the nail salon for 15-20. btw i've stopped coloring altogether
