How long is your cycle?
This is my second cycle off BCP's. My first one was 39 days. I have a feeling this cycle will be similar. Does anyone here have regular cycles of almost 40 days?

This is my second cycle off BCPS too...last month my cycle was just like being on the pill got my period the same week...this month i am still waiting for my period

Yes. When im not on BCP by cycle is consistently over 40 days. Most of the time that can be fine. My dr was concerned that i Oed too late in my cycle and i was put on clomid to adjust that. Im so glad bc my cycle was SO much easier this month and i Oed on day 16

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who responded.....would you consider an average temp. of 97.7 post O or did I just not O yet? I thought I had some symptoms this weekend but nothing really since. Last cycle I was above 98 degrees post O and I had several of the classic symtoms.....I am just hoping I guess...to not have another 39 day cycle.

yes, i was on BCP for probably about 7 years. I was prescribed them to help me become regular. I was only regualr while on the pill. I used to go almost 3 motnhs without AF in high school and college.
I took myself off them for a variety of reasons in August of 2007. I am no longer on a 28-day cycle and I am back to my irregularity. I have been tracking AF on my own and I seem to fall within a 44-50 day cycle.

Yes, me too. 28 days to the hour on the pill..now, I guess I just have to wait and see now since my body is just getting used to being off BCP's/....I too was on them for about 7 years. Only time will tell at this point....thanks...and LETS GO METS!

having long cycles when first getting off the pill is extrmemely normal. took my SIL 86 days to get AF when she first got off the pill. the question though to ask yourself were you irregular BEFORE you went on the pill. if so, chances are you'll get back to that once the pill is out of your system. in my case, i'm back to being irregular.

I was thankful I did get my period...and it was only after 39 days. I was somewhat regular for a while before I went on the pill. I just do not remember specifics. Thanks for all your help!
