how long did you wait before TTC? What were your reasons?

We waited till we were married about a year and a half. I wanted to start trying after my 30th Birthday.

My DH and have been together since we were 16 years old. We got married at 23 and had our first child at 33. Honestly, I never thought we would have waited this long but we lived in FL for a few years after college and we didn't want a baby while we were there since all of our family and friends were in NY. Then when we moved back we tried, couldn't get pregnant, stopped trying for a while, then finally saw an RE and had our DD. Working on #2 now. Looking back we both wish we just started trying years ago, even while in FL, but hindsight is 20/20.

We did the "lets just see what happens" plan and nothing happened..then for about 3 months after I read up on everything I counted days and it happened...M/C 5 months later...and now its going on the 4th month ugh

We had planned on waiting 3 years, but got pregnant on HM, so we had decided that we would wait a while before #2, so now DD is going to be 4 this summer and we're still trying for #2 (coming up on year of TTC).

We started with the first cycle after our wedding!! Neither one of us was getting any younger!!

My DH wanted to start trying before the wedding but I wanted to wait until we were married because I didn't want to risk being PG on our HM. We got married in September 09 which was also the last month of us using BCP and we have been trying ever since.

I had 2 chemical pregnancies and decided it was time to see an RE. DH and I met with Dr. Braverman last month and have had some testing done and I need to call him on CD1 to schedule CD3 testing and hopefully we will be on our way to a BFP!

We were married almost 2 years when we started - just about a year ago.

We will be married 1 year this July and we are starting this August, so in the 2nd year!

married 4 years -we just started right before our 4 year anniversary.

wanted to wait bc we wanted to travel a bit, establish our home and save money

With first DD we started right away b/c I have endo... after we had DD we waited until she was 20 months to try again.. we should've tried sooner.. I'm on 9 months TTC now

We decided to actively start trying around 2 years after we're married...which will be late 2011. Right now, we're taking the if it happens, it happens approach, and we'd be thrilled obviously, because it just means that the LO was meant to be born earlier for some unknown reason. But ideally we'd like to wait until late 2011, so we have more time to get used to living together and enjoy being married, travel, I will be starting a new job shortly that I'd rather not have to take leave on so shortly after starting, and we had big plans for this summer which had to be postponed until next year (ahem ), so we really want to be able to do that particular thing before TTC, so we're talking at least end of August, September 2011 +. So that's what our thought process is.

Right around our 2-year anniversary.

We had a ton of traveling that we wanted to do first! Oh, and we also bought a house. Now that we've seen what we wanted to see and are settled in our home, it finally feels like it's time.

We got married in the spring of '08 and started trying a year and a half later... and I got my BFP a few weeks before our 2 year anniversary!!

We waited primarily because my DH wanted to. I would have had a HM baby!

We've married for a year. Want to start officially try during the summer. I would of loved to be PG right after the wedding but goals were in the way of both DH and I.. Now we talk about it everyday and know we want to try as soon as the summer begins.. (That MEANS SOON!! ) You never know..

DH and I will be married 3 years this July and are on month 3 TTC. We waited for a few reasons. 1. I just started my Master's after we got married and wanted to be done before having a DC. I am proud to announce i just graduated!!! 2. we moved into a co-op right before getting married and wanted to have bought a house before. We bought our house April 2009 and renovated the whole home. 3. We wanted to save money and beceome more established at our jobs. For me, I wanted tenure, i am a teacher. Going on year 5 of teaching this Sept. 4. Lastly, we wanted time to spend time together and continue to learn and grow together especially bc we never lived together b4 marriage. So, with all those things accomplished we feel we are ready to be parents.

I got pregnant a few months before our 3 year anniversary. But we werent TTC...we just werent trying to prevent I guess....

we wanted to start right away. we had been living together for 3.5 years already before marriage so there was no adjusting after we got married and we feel we are ready. i also wanted to have a first before 30 and im 28

Last week was our 3 year anniversary and we have a toddler son.
