How do you sign DC name if it can be shortened?
When signing DC name on a card, do you use their full name or a shortened version? Im not sure if I want to sign ours "Abigail and Benjamin" or "Abbie and Ben".
I guess Im only thinking of this now bc DH and I both dont have names that can be shortened so it was never an issue.
And yes Im aware that this is a very minor issue in the grand scheme of life....but I still want to know

I would sign them with whatever names you use for your kiddies on a daily basis.

Both - My DS is William and we sign both William and Will. For formal items like xmas cards I use full name. But no real rhyme or reason usually for what I write.

I always sign Abby. I've called her Abigail maybe 5 times in her 15 months of life (and i think that was all within the last week, as she discovered new things to climb on ). I'd do Ben, too (and, actually would have, if we had a boy!) Great names

It depends on what I'm signing. For our Christmas cards its going to have "Thomas, Athina Marie and Joseph Thomas" (DH, me, and DS)
for occasion cards, i.e. someone's bday, I sign it by whatever name they call DS. His grandparents get "Joseph" but his aunt gets "Joey T".

I would sign it what you call DC as long as it is something other people are familiar with

AJ
I have rarely ever referred to her as Arianna. AJ is who she is.

Abby is always Abigail in print. I'm formal like that.
