How much do you pay to get pants shortened?
I took 6 pairs of pants to get shortened this morning. It was $9/pair for regular pants and $14 for the pair that has a cuff. I thought this was a little high...this place used to do them for $5/pair, and now it's $9 
Is this the norm?

I paid $11 the last time I did this (no cuff, regular pants), but it seemed like a rip off to me. I was in a hurry though, and didn't have time to take them elsewhere, so I paid it.

i just paid $10 the other day... i think the same place used to be like $7 or 8... its crazy, but what are ya gonna do?? I miss living near my mom now! she sews and used to do all my pants for me for free!

Depends on the fabric, whether or not they're lined, cuffed, HOW much they have to take up (ie: do they have to cut and then rework the entire hem?)
it doesn't sound unreasonable to me -

Ok...thanks ladies. I guess $60 to get them hemmed is better than buying new pants!

I hope that's a typo and you're not paying $60 to hem pants. 
I pay $8 or 9 (used to be $7) for a regular hem, either cuffed or not cuffed. I've never had jeans done with the original bottoms, but I know it's $16 for that.
eta: just saw that's for 6 pr. GOT IT NOW!
