HOSPITALS???
HELLO! When we are all blessed and get PG ... what hospital are you planning to choose? Anyone using Huntington?

My OBGYN is affliated with St. Catherines in Smithtown. So I guess that's where I will be going. I would like to give birth in Stonybrook though.

I recently changed OB's bc mine for years (she actually delivered me!) was affiliated with LIJ- I live in the Town of Huntington and LIJ is just not close enough for us. My neighbors all have given birth at Huntington...they were very happy.

my doc is affiliated w/ south nassau and winthrop, I intend on delivering at winthrop b/c i have heard girls who have delivered there have had great experiences and that is where i was born!

i was born in Hunt hospital.. and i have heard great things about them!! if my doctor was affiliated i would rather go there if it was my choice!!

I had a minor surgical procedure performed at Huntington several years ago (by my former RE) and I was very happy with them 
If & when I am pg, however, I will probably be using Good Sam in W.Islip. If not, then definitely Southside in Bay Shore. I believe that my doc is affiliated with both, so I think I'd get to pic...

Glad that some of you have heard good things about Huntington.....WINTHROP is great too! All my sister in laws have given birth there. Really nice facilities!

i also want to add that i used to work at a Pediatric office in Hunt who are affiliated with that hospital.. so basically one of them would be there when the child is born.. and they are EXCELLENT!!
so its something to think about when you deliver !! HTH!

My obgyn is affiliated with LIJ. I have heard they have a NICU which makes me happy just in case.

depends who my dr is. But i was born in huntington and it has always been my hospital of choice

I delivered my 1st at Winthrop
and my second at South Nassau
I will be able to choose either for our third and will go with South Nassau. The Maternity wing is brand new, everyone gets a private room and the nurses were amazing. I had great care at Winthrop as well but would have had to pay for a private room and when I delivered there were 46 babies in the nursery so it was a madhouse (which is not the hospitals fault)
