paint over it... paint retards mold.

Re: HELP...Need a dehumidifier

we were going to bleach and go to home depot to see if they have anything too.

It's the carpet we are worried about too, but again we rent so don't want to do anything major to the place.

Re: HELP...Need a dehumidifier

I've had mold in the shower and I used clorox in a spray bottle, just being super careful not to get it on me. Also, Honeywell makes a good humidifier, about $50 at Home Depot. I recently purchased a new filter on amazon.com and it was a whole lot cheaper there than at a store.

Re: HELP...Need a dehumidifier

Dehumdifiers are hard to find this time of year. They are seasonal (dehumidifiers in the summer and humidfiers in the winter). We needed one for our basement in the middle of the winter once and couldn't find one anywhere. Anyway, maybe you will luck out because it is only November.

Re: HELP...Need a dehumidifier

ok, we got one at home depot and now just waiting for the landlords to come home. We pulled the rug back and even it had it undernear at the corner. Needless to say we are not planning to sleep in there until we can thoroughly clean it!
